I'm really hoping people make some brain bending co-op levels where everyone's running around just trying to figure out a puzzle. I really wish more regular games included co-op puzzles but that just hasn't happened

I said in my last thread I was dying to see some better multiplayer options, and the direct delivered. For puzzles especially, multiplayer has huge potential, both for co-op and competitive. Now we can make puzzles that require multiple people working together to solve, like Snipperclips. Can't wait to play those with my girlfriend. But at the same time, can you imagine for competitive play creating 4 copies of a puzzle that the four players then have to each race to figure out first? And since you can create rooms that stop the camera from scrolling now, it makes it easy to make levels like Zelda dungeons with a bunch of rooms each with a puzzle, so you could create a dungeon that was a series of puzzle rooms that interconnect in different ways and let 4 players loose on it to see who finds the quickest and easiest way through the puzzle dungeon. If the players are in different rooms, they won't see each other solve the puzzles, giving such stages real replayability. I can't wait!

Heck yes!

I'm afraid I'll spend all of my time working on elements like this, but never publishing them.  Here we are dreaming of all the cool concepts and when th game hits it's going to be a bunch of troll levels and don't move levels and music generators.

I know one reason I hesitated to publish levels was that I would finish them, be really proud of them, publish them, only for them to not get any plays and then Nintendo would delete it from the server and make it so I couldn't upload it again. I hated that. Made me not want to upload new levels for fear that they might just get deleted from the server before anyone played them. Once I rebuilt the level from scratch so I could reupload it, and the second time it got a lot more plays, so I know sometimes it's just luck of the draw.

I'm hopeful that with the new tagging system, the ability to downvote, and other little quality of life social features like that, maybe all the junk levels will sink to the bottom and I can be more sure that if I work hard at a level it'll be likely to be seen and played by at least a few people before it sinks into irrelevancy again. Don't move levels and music generators will always be successful, but they'll also have their own tag so you can filter for or against them when you feel like playing them or want to avoid them. Troll levels will get massive boos, and people who want to play them will hopefully be able to sort by most booed with a relevant tag and be able to find them, while the boos prevent most people from having to deal with them.

I'm not sure if there will be a dedicated thread for levels (there probably should be), but if not make sure to post them here.

I could swear that I have seen a thread which was called "Put you Mario Maker 2 levels here". I have searched now for 20 minutes, but was not able to find it. Could someone help me please :)

And by the way, for those who care to know, I wish I could be making Mario Maker 2 levels right now, but I'm on a strict no spend diet right now and haven't yet purchased the title.  Hopefully if I hit a few of my goals I can get the game by September.  Fingers crossed.  In the meantime I'm subsisting on a meager Rocket League diet with no extras.  Can't believe the band for my $20 that that title has brought me. It's almost obsessive really.  And I'm not even that good at the game.

I really loved Mario Maker 1, so I'm looking forward to getting and playing this game soon.  I like all parts: story, create, play other peoples levels, etc....  Although the thing I'll probably do the most is play other levels.

Having said all of that I still find the first minute of this video sums up Mario Maker 2 pretty well:

Thanks a lot! The game is great! Hopefully you can get it soon ^^

I'll be creating levels. Dreams looks like a lot of work so I'm more inclined to put my creativity into mario maker.
Hopefully there will be more level slots this time so I don't have to delete levels to make more.

Currently you can make 64 levels (through an update yesterday), but it is planned to expand this limit even more in the future.
