Wow, so Sony bent the knee when it comes to the cloud. Isn’t there new leadership at Sony? Seems they’re going through an overhaul of some dated stances on things.

Hope this means improved PSN speeds and PS Now performance.

Wow Microsoft allowed Sony to used their Azure server , When it comes to the cloud Microsoft bent the knee to money.

If someone pays you to use your stuff that doesn't make you bending the knee.

???? I said Microsoft bending to Sony money , because consumer is a King.

It's not Sony Playstation working with Microsoft Xbox.

It's Sony Corp making projects, research and collaboration on Microsoft Azure. This is not crazy and doesn't mean they'll be working on game titles development stuff together.

This actually makes allot of sense for Sony... Rather than invest Billions in building-out an expensive cloud service that will only be used by their gaming division... Leverage one of the big Three's (Google, Amazon, Microsoft) efforts instead who have done the hard work.

The cloud isn't getting any smaller... Plus this should relieve some pressures on their slower Playstation Network too.

Yes.

God bless You.

My Total Sales prediction for PS4 by the end of 2021: 110m+

When PS4 will hit 100m consoles sold: Before Christmas 2019

There were three ravens sat on a tree / They were as blacke as they might be / The one of them said to his mate, Where shall we our breakfast take?

I'd say this is very interesting news

Providing services for money is bending the knee?

Lets say at a minimum this is simply MS providing online services for Sony. That would make this the least surprising and least interesting relationship between MS and Sony. Because that's a big part of what MS does.

Good, but I still don't trust Cloud gaming and I may never trust it.

You sound like my grandmother. Just swap "cloud gaming" for "internet banking" and bam. Direct quote.

I wondering with this partnership, how will azure help PSnow in it's current state ? Will Sony shut it down then relaunch it the next day as 4k and extremely stable with little latency or will azure take over and replace psnow ? With Sony I'm not sure if it's wise to have 2 streaming services if azure the better for it's streaming and psnow lacking ? Heh, I'm abit curious how this turns? ^^

It should mean that Sony will eventually migrate PSnow to Azure, which will happen over time. - And then Sony can repurposed that server and bandwidth capacity  for other avenues.

You can run a single service from more than one server farm... In-fact it's generally how things go anyway.

No one bent the knee. It's just business.
Azure was originally envisioned to be sold as a service accessible for all, not just exclusively for Microsoft's own efforts... In-fact cloud has been one of Microsoft's largest money makers and growth sectors in recent years... And Azure has proven to be extremely capable all things considered.

It's a win for all, because Microsoft has an abundance of processing power and bandwidth at it's disposal which should result in an improved experience for Playstation gamers.
