In Dragon Ball z when Raditz showed up Goku and Piccolo had no choice but to team up. Piccolo said it was just a temporary partnership this one time then back to enemies right after but, we know how that went.

So Piccolo is Xbox because he's green? That's racist.

Sony is Goku because Sony is the main character of Video gaming Industry LOL

I'd say Nintendo is Goku because everyone thinks Goku is awesome even though he loses all the time and sometimes dies. I'd say Sony is Mr. Satan. They showed up late, most people love them, and, as far as everyone knows, they are invincible.

Problem is Mr. Satan is only talk and no power, while Nintendo isn't near being powerful enough to be Goku. At most kid goku when the series where more comical.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

I don't see any serious gamer going with Google. Their platform will end up like Google+.  So this isn't a response to that bs.  It's Sony teaming up with MS allowing Sony access to Azure servers and both companies going together into image senaors and AI.  Sure Google might be perceived as a threat but how many smartphone gamers even have a PC or laptop that they are interested in gaming on?  I assume very few.  Those of us that have gaming PCs don't give a shit about streaming games.

This whole streaming is the future is like VR.  Shit won't be mainstream for a long time.  Nintendo actually could benefit from it more than any other company since they have lower spec machines to begin with allowing 3rd party AAA games that normally wouldn't port over on the system.

Wow, so Sony bent the knee when it comes to the cloud. Isn’t there new leadership at Sony? Seems they’re going through an overhaul of some dated stances on things.

Hope this means improved PSN speeds and PS Now performance.

Getting a partnership deal with MS for using their massive Azure server base probably is better than spending millions if not billions on a huge server infrastructure.  I'm sure they have some servers but not nearly as much as MS and who knows maybe they rent server from AWS for PSN rather than having their own.  Not sure about their server infrastructure but its peanuts compared to AWS or Azure.

Wow Microsoft allowed Sony to used their Azure server , When it comes to the cloud Microsoft bent the knee to money.

I am not sure if MS is worried about Stadia compared to their own initiative. Why Google is a big boy in the Cloud services space they are not even third but forth while MS is #2 and Amazon still the king. MS has been working longer in this space and they have also worked longer on implementing their gaming services to Azure. If anything this is just a mutual agreement where MS can leverage Sony tech savvy especially if you think about their AR/VR devices and getting their AI system in place to work better with their hardware while Sony can definitely leverage MS expertise in their Cloud infrastructure and the work they have progress implementing gaming services with Azure.

Rumors between Nintendo and Microsoft and now this...

"cartel
noun [ C ] UK /kɑːˈtel/ US /kɑːrˈtel/

a group of similar independent companies who join together to control prices and limit competition"

Just saying
