Hardware sales breakdown for the last two weeks based on the Famitsu numbers found in this article:

http://www.vgchartz.com/article/438386/days-gone-holds-onto-first-place-in-japan-switch-hardware-benefits-most-from-golden-week/

Switch - 52,171/31,300
PS4 - 21,448/8,555
3DS - 7,373/2,978
Vita - 406/682

Vita production has ended in Japan, so that's why the console's sales don't follow a normal trajectory of decline after Golden Week. Its weekly sales depend first and foremost on people making up their minds to buy one while they still can.

Thanks for those values. Now we seee that Week 19 is the slowest of the year for both consoles. Less than last year's same weeks 18 and 19

Around the Network

Zelda went even higher in the top 10, it has some of the most impressive legs of all Switch games .

Surprised that Days Gone is still at #1.

KH3's legs are actually pretty decent for PS4 game standards.

So only after 5 months has Smash Ultimate (3.076.992) surpassed Splatoon 2 (3.063.187) and is now the most successful game on Switch in Japan. What a massive achievement! Maybe Pokémon Sword/Shield can sell even faster with a larger install base.

Well, PS3, and possibly even the Wii with stellar sales, will probably fall this year.

After that, we probably will have to wait until 2021-22 for GBA, SNES, PS1, NES, PSP and possibly PS2 to fall to the Switch. Might leg out to overtake the 3DS in the end, though GB and DS seem too far to reach for the Switch.

Or with the help of Pokemon, Animal Crossing, and mini, Switch falls in the 17k range this year, then next year it goes to 25k due to the bump in market penetration, word of mouth, and increasing library, then it legs out around that 30 something range.

Too early to tell with PS5 hitting next year and the revisions coming.
