I was expecting to see MK11 Switch on the list, a shame it didn't make it.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Interesting, software is topped by PS4-titles, but Switch sells more hardware. Seems people are buying from a more diverse selection of titles on Switch.

my greatest games: 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023

10 years greatest game event!

bets: [peak year] [+], [1], [2], [3], [4]

More likely people who wanted a PS4 already bought it, so there's not that much room to grow. This is Sonyland, after all.

Plus, May is a time of a lot of first communions, so a lot of kids are going to get new consoles as presents. Just wait for the numbers at the end of the month.

Not only new console buyers, buy games.

This year (YTD) the PS4 has sold overall more units than the Switch there.
Also if you look at the total consoles (PS4 vs Switch), Im sure it ll heavily favor the PS4.

So its not unexpected that the PS4 sells more games.
It has nothing to do with "more diverse" selection of titles as you said, infact with nintendo I'd say its often the otherway around (their main 1st party titles, are the really heavy dogs, with others not selling so much).

Thanks for sharing.

Both PS4 and Switch seem to be mantaing the same level of console sales, around 4000 for the former and 4500 for the later. It's going to be interesting which one will sell more this year.

That said, PS4 dominates the software chart (FIFA19 totals: 630K vs 27K... wow).

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

It can't show up. European Switch release of MK11 was only May 10, so 2 weeks after the other consoles.

And yet, the Switch is outselling the PS4 in Spain despite the latter got Days Gone and MK11. Looks like Nintendo is slowly conquering Sonyland.

Days Gone and Spiderman : D

No this is probably due to greater market saturation for the PS4 than the Switch.
