Forums - General Discussion - Rapper NBA youngboy was shot multiple times outside trump resort

I've said this before and I'll say it again. I'm black.

When Nipsey Hussle was murdered, I decided to Google a list of rappers who were killed. I think there were over 50! All I could say was "What the fuck?"

You never hear about a Justin Timberlake or a Tim McGraw getting shot and killed. Rarely arrested. Rarely robbed. Our artists go through this so often, it's normal.

Not only that, I listen to a variety of music genres. I can listen to the country stations, the rock stations, or the top 100 and here songs about respect, church, love, heartache, etc. So much emotion. I listen to urban music stations and at least ever other song is drugs, guns, murder, cheating, materialism.

It's fucking disgusting.

I remember being a kid and being absolutely shocked by some NWA or Luther (Luke Skywalker) Cambell lyrics. It actually bothered me and I kinda felt guilty. Now almost every artist produces content just as bad. What does that do to a kid? What does that do to an entire culture?

I thought an NBA rookie was shot in Trump's yard, talk about sensationalism.

That wouldn't be news. Trump shoots black people in his yard every day.

Have no idea what the trump tower have to do with the subject.

I hope hes okay. I've only listened to like 4 of his songs and they were alright. I hope this trend of targeting rappers end. Don't want another xxxtentacion situation.

Do rappers just use random word generators to pick their names?

Some do, that's how Post Malone got his name.

I assume this is news just because it happened close to a place that is vaguely related to a famous person. I don't approve.

The OP said nothing about having to do with said place but questioned if rappers are being a target.  Because of that, I believe your opinion to be wrong and maybe you concentrated more on the location than the OP.

You just don't play shitty "music" near Trump's mansions an get away with it!

Looking at all news outlets and seeing the highly irrelevant location prominently featured in their headlines I believe your opinion to be wrong.
