I think Wolly it feels more like a Yoshi game with all th innovation and improvements. it also feel less rushed.

Woolly World did have some great levels like the one in the haunted house or the one where you ride curtains though the jungle, but I feel like only maybe 10% of its levels felt really inspired, the rest were just kinda decent.

Crafted World also had a lot of "just kinda decent" levels, but I feel like there was a higher percentage of memorable ones like the solar car race, flying the plane, or that terrifying one with the little axe murderer puppets.

Honestly I'd rank both games above Yoshi's Story. Never liked that one even as a kid. Finishing a level being based on eating fruit rather than reaching an end point meant the levels lacked a sense of flow and progression, and at just 24 levels it lacked content bigtime coming after Yoshi's Island's 54.
