Forums - General Discussion - Let's make saint seiya great in north america

Hey people, I hope there are some saint seiya fans and anime fans in general here in the forum

My name is Felipe, live in latin america

I'm been thinking, saint seiya is so big to me, and all of us

Why hasn't it caught in north america? So... I thought about helping by creating a channel

Let's make it GREAT!

Saint Seiya is too old and too irrelevant nowadays to make any kind of impact. There is just too much other great stuff coming out on a monthly basis.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

That reminds me my youth, Club Dorothée...

And it's extremely narmy french title songs from Bernard Minet:

And I knew the entire lyrics until a couple years ago...

Fun Facts: Saint Seyia was so popular in France, that not only the international name is taken from the french anime adaption (Les Chevaliers du Zodiaque means Knights of the Zodiac), and the NES game got translated into French, but no other language apart from the original Japanese.

Wasn't there a Saint Seyia Anime some years ago? Don't think it was that great, though.

Pretty exactly 33 years ago, yeah. This got followed by an OVA 15 years ago, plus 6 animated movies (which are rather sub-par, imo).

Although, for english-speaking countries this all came much later, as they had to wait until 2003 to get anything translated.

@OP, do you only mean the original series, or also the spinoffs (The Lost Canvas, Episode G, Next dimension, Omega...)?

Around the Network

next dimension is not a spin off, it's the official sequel

the last anime released was the saintia sho adaptation

For some reason, the only things like anime I've ever enjoyed have either been in the Dragonball universe or Airbender/Avatar.

I know that, but that was easier to group together like that.

I understand

I would have prefered if kurumada called it saint seiya 2, anyway

I just want to see a continuation story after Saint Seiya Heaven Chapter - Overture and how Seiya defeat Zeus
