Actual tl;dr You really don't want to come to terms with the fact that you're incorrect on several unnumbered titles being main entries that happen to not have numbers in the titles.

For fuck sake, Birth By Sleep was featured as the next main entry in K2's secret ending, dude.

While I've only skimmed through HylianSwordsman's reply to me (will read through it properly later, and give my reply), it does appear that he is attempting to explain his reasoning, and is open to having a proper discussion about it.

When someone replies that way, you should try to do the same in your reply to them. If you disagree with their reasoning, or find that it doesn't adequately support their argument, explain why. Rather than just saying "you don't want to come to terms with".

More like your second paragraph, which may be a fair point to bring up.

Near the end of Kingdom Hearts 1, you fight a Secret Boss (Unknown) who is a major character in the next chapter of the story.
And after the end credits you see a secret movie of events from that game.

Near the end of Kingdom Hearts 2, you fight a Secret Boss (Lingering Will) who is a major character in the next chapter of the story.
And after the end credits you see a secret movie of events from that game.

Sorry, but my patience for it had run out. Several pages of "they're spin-offs because they don't have numbers in the titles" has worn me thin on the topic.

Except that was NEVER my reasoning. I never once said that. I said the non-numbered ones are spinoffs, not that they're spinoffs because of the lack of a number. They're spinoffs regardless of that, but it wouldn't make sense for them to be numbered, because they're spinoffs. I will concede that BBS could credibly be called KH0, but the numbering was always beside the point.

Then can you please explain what, aside from the title, makes important and unskippable titles like Dream Drop Distance spin-offs?

I'm not explaining it again.

Because you can't due to the fact that, outside of the name, DDD matches ZERO characteristics of being a spin-off.

No, because I don't want to talk to you anymore. You're rude.

Not a fan of DLC and also of they not really finishing the trilogy

I don't know what you want dude. You define spinoff one way, I define it another. You've yet to provide what your definition is, beyond something about it meaning irrelevant and ignorable. DDD still isn't the main story, I'm sorry dude. It has details that matter, but it's a spinoff. Spinoff doesn't mean irrelevant, not in my book. I explained it further in the post you responded to, but you obviously don't want to read that.

It doesn't fit spin-off even by your own definition. Unless you're willing to about the only difference between a main title and a spin-off in your eyes is if it features a sequential number in the title.
