They ll need to start earlier in the year, if they want to hit that, and hopefully it ll be a permanent price cut.
Also they have alot of Slims in stores, they ll need to sell, before they launch a super slim (if thats happending), so waiting until oct/nov would be silly.

My guess is they'll announce it in Sept, at or around TGS. Personally, I think they'll just drop to $249 with a Super Slim, possibly using 7nm. Same $199 price at BF, maybe $179. And $349 for the Pro. $299 at BF. I'm guessing that with the cost reduction, they won't mind having a ton waiting for BF week.

$199 would be best saved for when the PS5 launches next year.
