Well, that' not so bad then. That would make it like previous MK games where you can still do the Fatality so long as you know the code. I'll renew my pre-order as soon as I get home. I think I jumped the gun on this one. Sorry. :(

You might want to verify but that's what I read on two separate message boards.

I'm inclined to believe it. But I'll doublecheck just in case.

Check out Yong Yeas video on the matter before you do. Might be information you need.

I'm subbed to him, so I should be able to have it in my subscriptions section. I'll watch it when I get home.

I stopped bothering given attention to this game after they stated the women would be covered up while I was seeing males wearing a strip of clothing. Big red flag right there and I know it's going to be a shit show in other areas from that point on. Looks like a bunch of angry, sexually frustrated women developed the game. From what I have seen, I can't believe how far they actually took that philosophy, looks like a bunch of Nuns fighting among the Mortal Kombat characters I know. Sad to hear it is a grind, mobile like game too but the up side is, the market is saturated with fighters so you can easily pick up many others at a largely reduced cost.

What is it with people like this?  It's like they have no self reflection or social awareness at all.  "Women wouldn't really fight in those types of outfits and it just objectifies them."  Hmm, turn on the UFC and...yes, yes they would fight in outfits like that.  Also, those same people are like, "Hey, let's have most of the guys fight shirtless, cause that's hot."

I'm not sure what the end goal is or why they are doing it but I'd imagine everything they say in reasoning is a lie, but I do have an idea, again, I think it's probably as simple as the team at Nether realms being run by weak males and the angry, sexually frustrated women there just got a leg up on them, proverbally speaking. I highly doubt it was a top down decision, it's Warner Bros, not Disney.

Well I guess, there are a lot of review sites that are waiting for the MTX store to launch before they post their reviews.

I watched Yongyea's video, and I think I'll just wait to see how the store turns out. I don't need Shao Khan. I've yet to play MKX so I might just pick up the GotY version of that instead.

Edit: Adding Yongyea's video to the OP.

Destructoid - inprogress.

The 3 most important review sites with Destructoid being the best. A Grindy fighting game? Uh yeeaaa? What fighting game series isnt grindy? Your lost Definitely. MK is leader in regards to a fully packed fighter.

Destructoid didn't like the game either. That sinks it for me. I'll pass on this for now. Glad I cancelled my pre-order.

I think Smash Bros have it beat. Still lots of content in MK games though.

Oh shit! I forgot about Smash.Smash Ultimate is super grindy as well.

Nah, Smash Ultimate isn't grindy. I just did the story mode and got everything naturally.

That's probably additional fatalities.

I know, but still.

MKX actually had fatalities as DLC.

Personally, I don't care. I bought standard edition now, eventually I can get the complete package for a low price.

I did that with MKX, Injustice 2 and I'll do that with that game as well. For now though, I'm content with the game as is.

Yup, it's official. Even if you can ignore the other aspects of the games development you're probably best skippibg this one, seems to be a mobile like design at the grindstone level.

They still show skin and some of their costumes aren't fully covered up. I mean yes their balloon boobs are non existent and not in your face as it use too but they aren't completely fully clothed. Sonya still has her crop tops, the majority of them still have boob windows, and some still show thighs.
