Unremarkable week overall.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Looks like Switch has almost catched up to the PS4 in terms of weekly sales.

Why does BOIIII come as blank under total sales? Is it because the price got slashed in half; starting the count at zero again?

Also, dem NSMBUD legs!

I know Japan is a much larger market than Spain but seeing the Xbox One only put up 400 units in sales sort of puts things in perspective.

I do wonder why does the XBOne (and all XBoxes in general) have had such a steep road when trying to carve out a piece of the market in non-english speaking countries. It does well in UK, US and other smaller markets, but outside of those it's a landslide. Granted, the PS brand has been the de facto system in Europe ever since the PS1, (with "la Play" becoming alongside "la Nintendo" as the synonymous of gaming for many) but such a difference is staggering. Even during the PS3-360 days, the PS3 was the much more popular system, the Wii nonwithstanding.

The XB360 was a great console and it did great here in Europe selling 26 million. But with XB1, Microsoft destroyed their momentum by having an awful reveal, by launching late in many European countries, and by showing interest in using a forced Kinect to collect data on citizens which many Europeans didn't like especially after it was known that the US and NSA were spying on European citizens, politicians, and companies.

I'm actually surprised that XB1 in Europe will still manage to sell half of what XB360 sold when all is said and done.

In Europe, I think it's mostly because PC always was big there. Since most of it's games are also on PC, an Xbox was generally redundant in many households.

The UK switched earlier to console gaming afaik, probably because they were used other computers than those on the mainland (ZX Spectrum, BBC Micro, Amstrad CPC, Macintosh, later Amiga and then consoles compared to C64, Amiga and then PC being much more popular on the mainland). Hence they had less the redundancy that mainland Europeans had with Xbox consoles.

Four Switch games in the top ten and the Switch not too far behind the PS4 in console sales. I'd say that's a good week for Nintendo.

I kind of feel sorry for MSoft, but they stopped trying a long ago. They don't even dub their games into Spain's Spanish anymore, and that's not a good sign for what will happen with their next machine.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Is there a big difference between Mexican Spanish and the Spanish of Spain?

They're not completely different, of course, but you can easily notice the difference between both languages both because of the accent but also because some words mean different things.

For example, in Spain, the verb "coger" is the equivalent of "to take, grab or catch", but in Mexico and other countries of Center and South America, it means... "to fuck" XD.
