Nikkei- Switch Pro model delayed out of 2019, budget model still scheduled for release this year

Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nikkei- Switch Pro model delayed out of 2019, budget model still scheduled for release this year

honestly they are wasting their time with a more powerful version to justify a repurchase. How much more powerful can they make it?

This shit needs to be built with that in mind from day 1.

Delayed from what? I wasn’t aware Nintendo had set any date.

Also, I wasn’t aware they were calling it Switch Pro. Every indication has been that they’re looking to release a next generation (or a Switch 2) line, not some +/pro thing.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I'll be waiting to see the pro then. No interest in a smaller model.

The Article is said to be incorrect. Here is a twitter feed explaining some of the issues with western reporting.

Perhaps internal dates within the company. All of this is still not confirmed/unconfirmed with Nintendo.

Since Nintendo has not officially announce anything I will not even bother reading in the future about any of these rumors

Thanks for the info Ace !

I guess that settles it for me and these rumors, I'll just wait on Nintendo official words for whatever happens on that front.

Where I suppose to charge a joycon pair?
That's why I think it needs it's own dock if switch mini meant to be playable on dock.
A smaller dock that also has trails for charging joycon and works with old switch as well.

If true, then I think this is way smarter. A more cost friendly Switch this year for Pokemon and Animal Crossing will be huge. For them to do a "Pro" model next year would also maintain Switch's relevance as Sony and Microsoft release the next generation of consoles.

I think the Switch can hit that 100 million milestone!

Thanks for the extra info, Acevil!

So, the Mini, portable focused Switch is on track for this Fall, but what appears to be the successor has been put on hold because Nintendo still hasn't choosed who will lead the project.

If that last part is true, that means that the successor is, at least, still two or three years away.
