As I suspected, I forgot it was a rare title but makes sense now that I played it on Xbox. Hopefully with MS trying to build their IP they will see the merit in reviving Perfect dark. Metal gear status though, nah  I doubt it, they could get a solid IP out of it though.

Alright, maybe not Metal Gear level, but it could be on the level of Goldeneye, but without depending on rights to the James Bond license.

For sure. Fingers firmly crossed.

You may be an intergalactic numbskull who screwed up Ratchet and Clank's adventures, but you have a point there.

Why haven't they made a good 3D Sonic game since Sonic Generations?

All bad PR Insomniac really holds a grudge against me. If Ratchet and Clank where not best buddies with the devs of Insomniac and even somewhat apealing as characters I didn't have to safe the series by being a numbskull in the first place. But how is Nintendo treating you, they basically made you a suïcide terrorist so not much better I figure.

As for Sonic, probably because Sega and pure 3D platformers simply don't really mix.

Silence!! I kill you!!

So uou've thought about this then :D. And YES, where is F-Zero gone? Wipout omega and Red out have proved the genre to still be popular, they should get on that.

And for that matter where is Perfect dark... I remember playing it on Xbox and now with MS and Nintendo all lovey dovey it'd be a great time for them to vomr together and revitalize the series.

I've thought plenty about it. That was just the top 10, and as you may note I combined a lot of stuff like "proper sequels" and "spin-offs with minor characters". I think Perfect Dark might have been taken with Rare when Microsoft bought them, but like you said, MS is getting cozy with Nintendo, so anything could happen. Nintendo could make it into their own Metal Gear. But there are a ton of IPs they've allowed to just fade into history, I just picked the most glaring ones with the most obvious potential for money for the top 10. Golden Sun needs reviving. Diddy Kong Racing deserves reviving, though it would probably require work with MS and Rare. Super Mario RPG deserves a sequel, especially if they're not going to make proper Paper Marios anymore and the Mario & Luigi series continues to veer off course as well. Pokemon Snap deserves a sequel, particularly if they keep up their work with VR (though it also should have gotten a Wii U sequel). Kirby Air Ride deserves a sequel, especially if Sakurai is truly done working on Smash for good now. The Mother series deserves a sequel, and the only reason Mother 3 being officially translated was left out of my top 10 was because I just don't care anymore as I'd rather just play the fan translation and have them continue the series. There are a ton of IPs that deserve little eShop games as sequels, like Ice Climbers especially, on the scale of other eShop only IPs like Pushmo or Dillon's Rolling Western. R.O.B. could be reborn as a Labo accessory that utilizes Augmented Reality gaming mechanics. So much endless potential in their bottomless pit of dead IPs, I could go on forever.

So could I!!

It's baffling that there's no sequel do Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross yet... Probably the most obvious game that should have already been made.

Wasn't it because Chrono Cross was less favorably received than Chrono Trigger?

Why haven't they made an HD remaster of Smash TV?

SPOILERS

Chrono Cross scored in the 90s for most reviewers and sold extremely well, making it one of the PS1's Greatest Hits.  The only people that have a problem with it are the vocal minority who are salty over Crono, Marle, and Lucca being killed in the timeline the game takes place in and try to classify it as a spin off, despite it being a direct and true sequel.  The events of Cross were a direct result of the actions taken in Trigger, and all of existence was at stake.  Sounds like more than a spin off to me.  Plus the cutscenes in the PS1 version of CT indicate not only the fall of Guardia and the death of Crono, but also that Kids was indeed found and taken in by Lucca.

Then to even further squash those that tried to separate the two, the DS remake took it a step further and reinstated that Guile in Chrono Cross is actually Magus after wiping his own memory in from CT.  There was a final boss added called the Dream Devourer, which resembled the Time Devourer in Chrono Cross (actually the Dream Devourer is the starting form of the Time Devourer, making them the same).  After you "win" the fight, everyone is overpowered until Schala regains consciousness for a few moments and tells Magus that no matter how powerful he becomes, he will never be able to save her as he is now.  She then teleports him away before her conciousness slips into a slumber, which is how she is found in Chrono Cross.

Feeling defeated, Magus wipes his own memory to become someone entirely different, under the hope that should any part of him remain, maybe then he could save his sister.  He awakens in Guardia forest wondering aimlessly, with no memory of his past life.  He feels like he is supposed to do "something", but has no idea what that something is.  He then sets off in search of any type of enigma to be found in the world, which is exactly what Guile was doing in Chrono Cross.

It is funny because Guile was originally meant to be Magus to begin with, but it was scrapped at release.  However SE retconned their retcon and made in a version of Magus in the end.

And to answer uour earlier question, yes this game was supposed to happen long ago, but sadly never saw the light of day.

Which game? Smash TV HD or third Chrono Trigger?

Would love to see an RPG set in the Firefly universe. I know an online game was in development at one point- but then they went silent and there hasn't been any updates in forever. Would be cool to be able to upgrade your own ship, be able to pick between classes (captain, mechanic, medic, etc.) and you could go planet to planet either doing side jobs or getting in shootouts with either the Alliance or Reavers.

Sure, as long as it includes this:

Anyone know if that new Metal Slug for consoles is still coming?

The 4th Chrono game, as Radical Dreamers is a side story that takes place in another parallel world in Chrono Cross that you do not visit.  This is confirmed when record of Radical Dreamers is found in Chronopolis near the end of the game, but is missable so you are excused for not know this.  😉

Well I still wanna know why Neatherrealm Studios hasn't done an HD remaster of Smash TV. They and/or Warner Bros. have the rights to that game from the Midway buyout, right?
