I never knew how small that thing actually is.

Also, God must really hate Christians.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I was visiting the church just 6 months ago, damn!

Does this mean they make the land available for a nice skyscraper

Certainly not. No building in Paris is allowed to be larger than the Eiffel tower (except the Tour Monparnasse, which is the reason for that law)

I was there yesterday and witnessed the moment the tall tower collapsed

I used to pass by it every morning at 6 to go school, its company in the morning lights (or darkness) always gave me a little comfort during my early (and difficult) days in France.

Heartbroken to see it in its current state, the restoration will take years and tons of money and won't be the same without the wood from 800 years ago that survived the numerous wars and the French revolution yet it didn't survive what's most likely to be an accident.

It's not funny. Who would want to get a nice skyscraper in the place Notre Dame? It'd be foolish. Besides, it's a very important place of worship and one a truly marvel of construction.

God bless You.

There were three ravens sat on a tree / They were as blacke as they might be / The one of them said to his mate, Where shall we our breakfast take?

Nonsense worship can be done anywhere, i find going to church majorly hypocritical same as worshipping socalled relics.

Religion doesnt require a place of worship it requires conviction and willpower. Not some fancy building. Religion and worship within oneself is all that is required. The wealth within and not the wealth visible

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

But fancy buildings are the best part of religion.

You can put fire on your own "fancy building" if you own one. This is Notre Dame we're talking about, it's a 800-year-old Christian place of worship. Millions of Christians have donated to build temples like that. It's not nonsense for millions of people of faith.

Wanting it to be burned down to be replaced by a skyscraper is just offensive, no matter how atheist you are.
