Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Labo VR is sold out on some market area...

https://www.ign.com/boards/threads/labo-vr-sells-out-on-amazon-and-resellers-selling-at-2-3x-the-normal-price.455353025/

Seems to be just exceptionnal but not a worldwide situation. Still if this is true, it is performing very well.

Probably due to the lower supply over the previous versions

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Are we sure about that ? It sure had more enthuasiasm around the product since the announcement of Super Mario Odyssey/Breath of the Wild VR modes.

Oh definitely. Retailers were likely very, very cautious with their orders after the past 3 kits.

In the UK it just barely made it into the Top 40 of individual SKU's (missed the Top 40 of combined SKU's) so if it is selling well it's not there!

Probably more of a case of retailers being fed up with unsold Labo kits from previous versions and simply not ordering a lot. The Japanese debut apparently wasn't that high either.

When you don't send many to sell, then a shortage is more likely.

Could ve sold more if they had called it "Nintendo SuperViewmaster" instead of Labo VR.

Hunting Season is done...

Sometimes I have a feeling the Labo should have been a hit from the get go but something went wrong. It's definitely a great idea, but I think it suffered marketing-wise because people mocked the cardboard thing. Anyways, maybe it picks up steam later on.

However, it would have been #16 if you combined both skus. There was a complete set version at £69.99 and a starter set for £34.99 remember.
