After seeing Days Gone doing 114k physical in Japan 1st week and what is doing in Europe. It seems like i am going to be correct (again) in what i said about Days Gone selling similarly to Horizon. Seems like 2'5-3'0M after 2 weeks is a lock now, and still can be a candidate to be a 10M seller in the long run.

It depends, it doesn't have the long lasting online presence of Horizon nor the (albeit falsely aligned) competition of BoTW. We were talking about how amazing Horizon was months after and there is still a huge twitter sub culture of posting photos and memes of Sony first party games that began with UC4 but went into overdrive for Horizon, Days gone doesn't seem to have joined these games in the same way, hell it isn't even close to what Ace combat 7 had goong the first few weeks. All that word of mouth marketing is pulled back to some thing like "it's not the best game ever, definitely doean't deserve some of the reviews, it's a solid 7/8 game." Where as horizon release in the high 80's and people were saying the MC was still low.

We'll see but I highly doubt it will be a 10mil seller even with 95 mil ps4s out there, perhaps if they fix all the performance and remaster on ps5 and it reviews better.

Have faith John!

My reason believing this is that Days Gone is the kind of game that is not aimed to gaming forums. It's way more mainstream than a game like God of War, for example. It doesn't need good reviews to be a success. That's why is selling so much right now despite the reviews and the negative bias from gaming sites and gaming forum for years. The people that is buying the game don't even know those criticisms exist. They saw some cool trailers of a polished game in a popular genre by a respected publisher and that's all that they needed. And that's why it will still sell a lot for the rest of the year too. It doesn't need the same pace as Horizon to reach that 10M goal either...

interesting situation. days gone result = number 1 in japan, france, germany. and in uk 2 weeks number 1.
in future, the bend studio games have big potential. a second part could be much better than part 1 like (example) uncharted 2.

I hope the studio grows bigger - like guerilla games (horizon zero dawn developer).

Days Gone is number 2 in america last month. MLB number 3.
Horizon was number 1, i think..
