-X is a beast
-Incredible for a console in its 6th year
-pity comment about Xbox sales
-tie-related comment

Man you're right, the Vita really is a beast in Japan, it doesn't even need other regions to still be pumping out over 400 systems in a single week, just think about it, that's enough consoles to have 2 full Boeing 737s filled with Vita players... INCLUDING THE CAPTAINS AND FLIGHT CREW #beast! Also you are 100% correct regarding the Xbox's sales for a console in it's 6th year, I mean, many people said it was DOA but here it is, 6 years later and the thing still very clearly not dead yet, many people have tried to throw it onto the cart, but each month another tweet from Phil Spencer lets us know "it's not dead yet", Incredible! Now I'm with you on the pity though, it is a pity that the Xbox sales just routed the 3DS by over 2:1 I mean, don't Nintendo have any answer for the domination that the X1 has over it's handheld system? It's embarrassing at this stage..... I looked for something else that tied for a bit.... but sod it you're right after all, there's no denying it, That the sales of the Vita in Japan are perfectly tied with the Global sales of the console!

What do I win? :o

Next Week Yoshi, but sales dropped in Japan... let's see if globally the sales will also drop.

I am definitely sure that the sales of the Switch are slowing down since many people are waiting to see which new model they will take. I would do exactly the same and I have seen a few other people saying it : to hold back for a new model coming in a few months.

Did the same thing happened with Xbox One and PS4?

Maybe a few dozen, but most are probably not aware or don't want to wait any public announcement from Nintendo. Only after such an announcement will there be a real, measurable slowdown until the release of the new version, but not on a rumor alone.

Good time ahead of us ... I wonder if the slow period of April/May will affect the results of the Switch/PS4.

I'm sure it will, they both have some solid titles in April/May but Days Gone is the only one that can potentially move hardware.

I wouldnt be surprised to see both of them drop under 200k at some point.

lol... that reaching.......

I'm surprised the PS4 won a week... if we can call it that, pretty much a tie.

I still feel the PS4 has no business selling so well though.

I honestly expect some minor adjustments, I dont see any reason why PS4 & Switch would be so close in North America based on Jan/Feb NPD and insiders saying Mario Day deals caused a notable increase in Switch hardware sales.

PS4 is doing really good but PS4+XBO is on par with PS3+360 in a similar timeframe so it does have business doing so well, it's basically just making up for XBO doing so poor.

PS3+360 week ending March 26, 2011-326k

PS3+360 week ending March 24, 2012-285k

PS3 March 24, 2012+360 March 26, 2011-313k

PS4+XBO week ending March 23, 2019-306k

I gave a few different comparisons and all show that PS4/XBO are doing similar to PS3/360 at this point in their lives.

Who really remember here when exactely was repeated and confirmed the rumors of the PS4 Pro and X, so we could check if the next few weeks had a 10% drop ?

Have you checked these before answering me so confidently ? Do you really think that only us here in VGCHARTZ are smart enough to use internet and read about the next console we would like to buy ?

Yet another rare win for ps4 this year.

Great data...... on another note I guess this is all irrevocable evidence that the PS/XB are in direct competition with themselves and not with nintendo. How well or poorly they do seem to have no effect no be affected by how well/poorly the nintendo platform is doing. And with the HD twist it surely seems that one doing well is usually at the expense of the other.

This is also why MS really wants cross platform play to be a thing. Makes a case for the Xbox if you don't have to own a playstation to play against someone that owns a playstation.
