The cart limitations of the Switch is really starting to hurt the console.

The price of carts will come down. That is the way this technology works. I do believe even more third party games will be ported over when it happens.

Seems more like a lazy developer issue more then a switch issue, why not just compress the files or figure a way out to split the files, 16 G on the card and download the other 2G prior to playing.

Yes bigger cards would be great as well but I just find the size of files these days are getting absurd. (Not talking about this game specifically as 18G isn’t that bad this day and age. Talking about games that are 50-100 Gb destroying my PS4 hard drive lol)

If kkrieger could fit on 96 kb of disk space I’m sure as hell most games (specially ps4 and xbox one) could use less storage space. Sure the technique in kkrieger isn’t feasable on consoles but most developers/publishers are just lazy.

Meh - software developers are always limited by something or other. That's why they get paid to optimise things. The BluRay drive on PS4 is limited to 50Gb, and a quick Google for SD cards seems to be about $10 for 64 Gb. So that's the just price you'll have pay for a physical release over digital on Switch.

Probably worth it if you're really into a hobby IMO: you get a manual and box, something to display on your shelf, and you can resell it in future.

I just think its devs/publishers getting lazy as their main focus is ps4/xb1, so they half ass it just to get it out on Switch, which is why stuff is going digital only and they arent bothering with carts.

the title doesn't seem to be really reflected in the OP, where's the actual impact on sales based on the title?

Fancy hearing me on an amateur podcast with friends gushing over one of my favourite games? https://youtu.be/1I7JfMMxhf8

Well, this is new.

I think you're trivializing a not-so-trivial problem by saying that.

Better digital only than physical only... of course, I’m slightly biased... haven’t bought a physical game in almost a decade...
