Yeah but I have to belive that most people on a forum like this are going to have the foresight to invest that bit more in a PC or laptop that has a dedicated graphics card and a good processor and RAM is rarely a problem these days, even if it means waiting a month or two extra to save. You are paying for a laptop or PC anyway so why not, as a gamer, go that extra hundred or two when upgrading for that 2GB card that will see you through more than three quarters the library of steam. Aren't we supposed to be the ones tech savvy? Why limit yourself when you are buying a laptop anyway or are laptops now dying because of smart phones? I do admit I use my phone for growing 90% of the time but I couldn't live without a dedicated laptop.
I find it odd that two thirds of the people on a gaming forum wouldn't have a PC or laptop at least comparable to the entry level consoles in 2019 or if they do limit themselves from free games and a cheaper service. What am I missing here? This is honestly confusing the he'll out of me and I wonder if it is just cause it is cool to defend the Steam and hate on Epic..

Everything in the above reply is my opinion, from my own perspective and not representative of reality outside of my own head!

How is EGS a cheaper service? You can’t even buy EGS keys from third party resellers like other platforms.

Also that tech savvy comment was funny lmao

No, not interested currently. Maybe I'll sign up again to Steam many years (maybe more than ten) after abandoning it, but for now I'm only on GOG, and I haven't even reinstalled its client yet (not mandatory, anyway), after the last major reinstall I had to do on PC due to a stupid MS update (the one that did stuff for AMD CPUs owners also on CPU models not compatible with it) that had completely bricked Windows.

What do you mean by 'growing'?

I think people's reasons for not gaming on PC can vary a lot.
I rarely do. Because I prefer to game on a TV for most games, and hooking up my PC to it is an inconvenience I'm not particularity interested in. Especially because when I game on a console, I some times have something work related going on on the computer, rendering something, etc.

I mainly play on PC if I have to (Diablo 3 was only on PC for a while) or if I want to use mods in a game, like Skyrim.

There should be a launcher for all these launchers.

Social Club, Origins, Uplay, etc will always be needed because that's how you connect to their servers. As well as a storefront for their games.

Not yet. If there's a game I want, then I will.

No, I'm fine with Steam and GOG. I have some games on Origin as well, but I try to purchase as few titles as possible on there.

End of 2016 hardware sales:

Wii U: 15 million. PS4: 54 million. One: 30 million. 3DS: 64.8 million. PSVita: 15.2 million.

I have an account from when I wanted to test out the Fortnite Cross-progression but I don't see me buying stuff on there, They may be touting the greatness of 88% to the devs but for consumers they have increased the price games will cost.

Indeed I have, I really don't mind having multiple game launchers/platforms on my PC, and they give away free games too... I can't complain, lol :P

Nope, never will
