Forums - Gaming Discussion - BAFTA 2019: God of War wins 5x Awards and is Game of the Year

OMG GOW FTW. The game just keeps getting better. Deserves every bit of praise and recognition it's given.

It's crazy how this games stand side by side with The last of us , Mario, Zelda and GTA that already on legendary level.

So true. Cant wait of Ghost of Tsushima, looks also fantastic - like the first God of War Trailer in the past :)

I'm so happy Jeremy Davies is finally being recognized for his performance as The Stranger. He was so underrated. One of the greatest games of all time.

The Stranger was really cool, one of the best bossfights in videogames!

Interesting is: BAFTA 2019 Nominees for Performer
■ Christopher Judge as Kratos in God of War
■ Danielle Bisutti as Freya in God of War
Jeremy Davies as The Stranger in God of War
■ Sunny Suljic as Atreus in God of War
■ Melissanthi Mahut as Kassandra of Sparta in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
■ Roger Clark as Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2

4x God of War nominees for the best performer :D It was a hard fight. Kassandra (ASO) was only "okay" (a little bit boring) in my opinion. Roger Clark as Arthur Morgan was nice, but no chance vs. two "Detroit Become Human"-Characters for me :) Gratz@The Stranger! =)

Yeah!

Kinda shocked how RDR2 has done in many of these awards. I was sure it would sweep most of them. Cant even win best British game...

Easily the best game this gen.
Now TLoU2 and GoT might disagree with it and are coming for its crown.

Caaant wait of The Last of Us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima.

It's really surprising that God of War has so often and easily beaten Red Dead Redemption 2 with awards. Great to see :)

Go GOW!!! :D

Some interesting nominees in this bunch. Going to have to check out Return of the Obra Dinn sometime this year. Also got a physical version of Celeste on the way in the mail. For me the non-winners in the bunch are often more interesting than the winners.

I thought he was awesome. Overall, I liked Christopher Judge as Kratos better, but Jeremy Davies was my second favorite performance.

Well RDR2 has a higher metascore but the replay value on Horizon 4 is much higher then RDR2 already played it for 550 hours and will probably play it for at least 300 hours more since it will get supported with new content for a long time to come.

Don't know which I'm more hyped to.

At one side we have the sequel for the second best game of all tome, which should be a given to be my most hyped game...

But on the other side we have what looks like can be the best samurai game ever, the Samurai Red Dead Redemption I've always dreamed about...

Honestly, even as TLoU is already more than proven to be spetacular, I'm more hyped about Ghost of Tsushima, I'd say.

Its really hard to say, i can understand you. i love The Last of Us, but Ghost of Tsushima looks so impressive and its a new ip again :) My Hype is bigger for Ghost of Tsushima too, but both are my dream in future :) Together with "Death Stranding" < 3

Thats cool :) Kratos is for many players the number 1 in the new God of War, i think ?!
