I won't watch the trailer, but I'm definitely excited. I love Joaquin Phoenix. Her, The Master, and Clay Pigeons are classics. Even stuff from him that doesn't quite hit the mark on the whole has a great performance by him. So even if I don't like the overall movie, I'm sure Ill be enjoying his performance.

Nothing will ever reach Heath Ledger's Joker. Few roles in general will ever reach that genius. But here's to another go at this creepy cool villain.

I like how it looks and I very much like that its Joaquin Phoenix playing the role, he is a fantastic actor. So im looking forward to it. The trailer itself was fine but it didnt add much for me.

In my mind the Joker was always a deranged psychopath with a twisted sense of humor. I'm not sure I'm on board with the whole tragic backstory angle.

Signature goes here!

I really thought it was from persona

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Yup. That's why his character was so memorable in The Dark Knight.

He was basically this antagonizing force who showed up out of nowhere, with no explanation. Like Batman, you as the viewer are left in the dark as to his motives and capabilites. He was a loaded, unpredictable gun let loose in the plot, and thus kept the suspense throughout the entire storyline.

Dammmmn wtf. I'm not interested in anything DC or Marvel but this looks super interesting. I love the fact that it had a musical score like it was out of a christmas film. During the last half of the trailer I couldn't tell if it wanted me to feel like I was watching an uplifting musical or a horrifying drama. That contrast is beautiful!

Probably won't watch it though.

Agreed. I mean Alan Moore did give him a tragic backstory, but it wasn't meant for you to always dwell on and feel sympathy for him no matter what he does. It doesn't help that this trailer screams more to me Norman Bates than it does Joker.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

Well, crow can be delicious, if prepared just like chicken. I thought this would be a misconceived take on the Joker, but Joaquin Phoenix seems to have delivered and perhaps even outperformed Heath Ledger's Joker, if early reviews are anything to go by.

87% on RT with 39 reviews counted. Standing ovation from Film Festival viewers.

It looks like this film's gonna be amazing. It could cross $100 mil opening weekend if the hype holds.
