can't believe it, but my favorite jrpg of all time is getting 25 years old and that means i'm getting old too😉

Final Fantasy VI,[a] also known as Final Fantasy III from its marketing for initial North American release in 1994, is a role-playing video game developed and published by Japanese company Square for the Super Nintendo Entertainment SystemFinal Fantasy VI, being the sixth game in the series proper, was the first to be directed by someone other than producer and series creator Hironobu Sakaguchi; the role was filled instead by Yoshinori Kitase and Hiroyuki ItoYoshitaka Amano, long-time collaborator to the Final Fantasy series, returned as the character designer and contributed widely to visual concept design, while series-regular, composer Nobuo Uematsu, wrote the game's score, which has been released on several soundtrack albums. Set in a fantasy world with a technology level equivalent to that of the Second Industrial Revolution, the game's story follows an expanding cast that includes fourteen permanent playable characters. The drama includes and extends past depicting a rebellion against an evil military dictatorship, pursuit of a magical arms-race, use of chemical weapons in warfare, depiction of violent, apocalyptic confrontations with Divinities, several personal redemption arcs, teenage pregnancy, and the continuous renewal of hope and life itself.

The best 16 bit Rpg ever, and one of the best games of all times. My favorite Final Fantasy. Incredible soundtrack too.

Probably my favourite SNES game ever, and the second or third best game in the series overall. The first true masterpiece in the series in my opinion.

What are the other two in your top three?

Congratulations to my favorite Final Fantasy gameA Masterpiece with so many memorable moments. FFVI has my favorite cast of characters from any RPG and my favorite villain ever. I'd certainly buy a remake with Octopath Traveler's art style.

Congrats FFVI! One of the best in the series for sure, and of course the best villain.

IX is my favourite, but after that it gets more difficult rank them. I usually put VI either second or third, swapping places with X, but VII and VIII are very close as well. Honestly, I've never been able to definitively decide their order outside of IX being the best one. Still, I usually default to VI and X as the next two.

Probably my favourite in the series. Squeenix, give us a remake using the Octopath engine. Do it.

Congrats FF VI best FF ever in my honest opinion.

So, I am new to FF. Almost beat FF9. What order should I play? I was thinking the worst to the best, or order of release? I don't know...
