Forums - Politics Discussion - Tulsi Gabbard has more than 40,000 unique donors

Should Tulsi Gabbard at the debate stage?

Tulsi for President! 6 28.57%

Sure, we need her voice against war. 10 47.62%

No, her views are damaging! 2 9.52%

Not sure we need to hear her. 0 0%

Who is this again? 3 14.29%

Total:21

UPDATE: In the meantime this number has increased and now she has 61,000 unique donors.

Apparently democratic presidential candidate for the 2020 race Tulsi Gabbard has already reached more than 40,000 unique donors. This means she needs less than 25,000 more donors to meet the rules of the DNC to qualify for the first round of democratic debates. So if you want her voice against regime change war on the debate stage consider donating her as much as one dollar, so she can reach this qualification.

What do you think. Should Tulsi Gabbard join the ranks of Andrew Yang and Pete Buttigieg at the democratic debate stage or is it better she fails that?

If you wanna know who this is, here is her CNN town hall. - EDIT: Video was removed.

Looks like she's well on the way, hope she can do it.

Don't think she can go much further than that though, her polls are just too low, at least right now.

Well, media exposure (like the official DNC debates) can help polls for lesser known candidates. Although I have to say, the field is that crowded, you need a lot to stand out.

Tulsi is a voice of anti-war reason, the Est Dems, Est Reps and Establishment Media beat that war drum loudly, we need more like Tulsi to stand against the warmongers

But does she Feel The Bern?

Proud to be one of those donations. Seems like one of the few actual progressive Democrats that's anti-war, anti-surveillance state/government spying/Patriot Act, pro free speech, pro legalization of weed, and she seems to be genuinly trying to build bridges rather than burn them and simply smear people that don't fall in line as "the others". She's also against the drug war, pro universal health care, and for an increase in the minimum wage. She's even been critical of this bogus Russian conspiracy theory witch hunt media hype. Checking off most of the boxes for issues important for me.

I think unfortunately it's HIGHLY unrealistic that she'd become the nominee (media seems to either ignore her or shun her for some strange reason, and many more estabslishmen Dem voters likely haven't even heard of her), but dammit I'm supporting her until it's official. At the very least, I'd like to see her make the debate stage and maybe be picked as Bernie's VP in the far more likely scenario that HE becomes the nominee. Then maybe he can pack it in after 4 years (as he'll be over 80 years old at that point) and Tulsi could continue. That'd be my dream scenario.

If your description is precise, then she is quite a lot better than most Dem and Rep candidates.

I like her. People were being hysterical with the whole Assad thing.

But man, these debates are going to be full to the brim with candidates, and even more useless than they already are at making the undecided voters pick one.

Yeah. I at least hope she can make it to the debate stage, because her input will be very welcome. Maybe she can put the wars into focus and make another candidate to commit to end them.

Watch her town hall (linked in the OP) to learn more.

Basically she is smeared for being thorough enough to travel to Syria herself to learn first hand what the war means for the people. people staying in the US and commenting the war from safe and afar are in no trouble for being connected to Assad.

And we will see how the format for the debates are. Seemingly if too many candidates qualify there will be two debates and the candidates will be appointed to the evenings randomly.
