It could be, considering I mentioned twice that may be the case. Seems that you agree with that view of the situation.

Are you saying that something considered stupid by some, can't have deeper meaning?

Does this also mean Cuomo is an idiot for making a spelling mistake and every other person who does, or is everyone exempt from that except for Trump? If someone makes multiple spelling mistakes, is that showing me who they are, so I should believe that they are an idiot because they can't spell correctly 100% of the time?

If Trump was trying to put hidden meanings into things, it would be important to know what that meaning is, wouldn't it? It's not like he's the President or anything important right? If a foreign power gives Trump dirt on his opponent, knowing what the hidden arrangement and agreement between them is would be important don't you think, or is that not important since clearly Trump is too much of an idiot to play that game? If Trump is putting hidden meanings into his tweets, as well as making hidden deals with foreign enemies, and his opposition isn't realizing it or can't prove it, then who is the idiot with problems really?

A point well made, Eric.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

Or it could be exactly what it is.  When a person shows you who they are you should believe them.  Trying to find the hidden lining is comical.  Trump continue to show you he is an idiot, and you continue to try to find some way to justify it.  Let me give you a hint.  If you look at Trump as the idiot he is, then view his tweets its very easy to see and know exactly what he is doing.  When you try to make something stupid appear deep or on another level is why you seem to have a problem.

Even if Trump was trying to put some hidden meaning that the Queen is fat, it would still make him out to be an absolute idiot.  The question probably isn't that Trump is an idiot, its the question of how much.

What's comical is your insistence that an idiot could become president of the United States. That's even more farfetched than claiming that an idiot could become vice chancellor of Austria.

What do you mean, *could*? Seen who's POTUS lately?

Lol, yes, an idiot can become president of the United States because we have Trump case in point.  If there was a test, that tested the intelligence level of the President you may have a point instead of an election that test the popularity of the President.  History have put idiots in position of power because they are easily manipulated so what make you believe that you have to actually be intelligent to become president.  I know a lot of people voted for Trump because he is a billionaire as if that was the measure of his intelligence.

Oooooor he might be lower skilled at some things while being highly skilled on others.

You know ,like real life people? :p

True, I have seen some people who are good at somethings and complete idiots at others.  I will say that Trump is a low tier grifter which is his true calling.  He is the ultimate BS artist and probably would be great as a door to door salesman or member of congress.  What I have not seen is this vaunted business IQ but maybe the people who do believe he is intelligent can show some demonstrations of his ability.

Who cares about the spelling mistake, I have not chastised Trump on spelling mistakes, I make them all the time.  I chastise him for being incompetent idiot and it didn't start during his Presidency.  We can bring up hundreds of tweets that shows that he has no clue what he is doing.  No hidden meaning just dumb stupid ramblings.  We can show multiple speaking moments of him making very dumb ramblings and stupid insights into his mind.

Naw, it really isn't important to know what hidden meaning he is trying to put into tweets.  Trying to run the country using tweets, using tweets for diplomatic relations is also stupid and dumb.  Its why his administration is in shambles and everyone is leaving.  You can continue to try to make idiotic things he does as somehow above the wisdom of everyone else but it will always just be you trying to find the silver lining in the idiotic.  If you believe people can find the intelligent out of the stupid, I am more than happy to listen to you try to make most of the dribble coming from Trump mouth into something intelligent.

What exactly is your implication here? Any way I read this seems absolutely ridiculous so I just want to ask you to spell it out for me before I make any assumptions.

Slightly earlier in the thread, Mach was pointing out how important it was to know about Trumps dealings with foreign powers, assuming the worst, that Trump would have surely made a bad deal for the people and a good deal for him. They then pointed out that a hidden meaning in Trumps tweet would still make him an idiot (and point out below that the hidden meaning wouldn't matter anyway). Well if Trump is such an idiot, then how did he apparently manage to conspire with foreign enemies and get away with it? If he is that much of an imbecile, there's no way they wouldn't have found enough evidence to make sure he paid the price for what they think he did. The fact that it seems like he isn't quite as moronic as some think he is, makes you wonder who the idiots really are. That's not to say Trump isn't a dummy, but if the dummy is getting away with what they say he is, then his opposition and the Mueller team are even dumber than he is, so why the Trump bashing then? Are we literally watching dumb and dumber play out in real life? I'd guess not, but who really knows?

That's where this all started, with the misspelled tweet, so if you don't care about the tweet and story that goes with it, why bother arguing about it to then ask why anyone cares about it?

I kind of assumed when you pointed out it could be that it's simply a spelling mistake, and I should believe he simply made a spelling mistake, which shows me who he is, which would be an idiot, that was the point. Sorry for getting that all mixed up. I was a little dehydrated and I chose the red juice over the blue kool aid that time. Bad decision on my part..

I never said Trump is perfect, and just like you and I, everyone makes mistakes and thinks and says dumb things at least every so often. Thank goodness the language listening and penalty devices haven't been installed everywhere quite yet. Demolition man needs to remain a movie and not become prophecy.

Instant communication to everyone in the country and potentially the world is dumb? You would rather have the msm try and get you the facts, so you can figure out who's facts are correct or more worthy and who's are not? Were prior Presidential radio or TV announcements dumb? Would they have become dumb if they were held more often? If they said dumb things would it be ok since they were live?

I would guess why people have a hard time staying around him has to do with the headaches from the outside. It's why after I left home I rarely see my mother anymore because she's the type of person to go after you consistently and put you down or flat out destroy you (if she really doesn't like you), just because she isn't getting her way, no matter how minuscule or nonsensical her idea or reason may be. Not a surprise though since we rarely ever saw grandma because she was the exact same way, and treated my mother just as bad, even right in front of us. Dad doesn't like to spend much time around me either simply because if mom finds out she'll make his life hell for an extended period of time. Same old, same old lefty tactics. Mom mostly dislikes Trump and is always watching the msm btw. Could you have guessed?

Thanks for the compliment.

I fully support Trump's push to impose Tariffs on China and restrict free trade. For 30 years US government policy makers have helped ruin US economy, flood US with cheap China imports. China has risen as an economic super power at the expense of the US. China's middle class of 500 million is now bigger than the entire population of the US of 350 million. China's economic growth has been triple the rate of the US over the last 30 years. China's grown at the expense of the US all due to the unfair Free Trade deals that only benefit Chinese economy by flooding the US with cheap imports.

There is an immigrant issue in the US and cracking down on illegal immigrants by building the US-Mexico border wall and sending them back may help slow down the rate of immigrants sneaking into the US. America has enough drugs and criminals and does not need more immigrants of questionable character sneaking into the US. Australia has a strong government that cracks down on the flow of immigrants that pose security risk to Australia and its people. US, Europe and other countries around the world must impose strong immigrant laws to protect its borders and provide security for its citizens.

Nonsense. Exports to the US are less than 3.5% of the Chinese nominal GDP output. China exports more to Hong Kong and Southeast Asia than to the US. Not to mention Chinese imports have grown just as much, or even more, as their exports in the same period. Surely a net exporter of services, and even commodities, as the US would have benefitted?

Either way, I don't think any tax or trade deal would change long-term macroeconomic trends. The US will continue to become more and more a services-based economy centered on large metropolitan areas, and industrial and rural areas will continue to fall behind and demographically shrink.

Official announcements from the past tend to be "Hey, the government really needs to tell you something in an accurate, succinct, and direct way". It becomes "dumb" when they become "Hey, the president is currently mad and on the toilet, so here's some thoughts".

Its not the frequency that causes them to become dumb, it is the lack of care.

Did the Gov do that because they finally had something important to tell the people, or was it because they lacked the ability to get a message out in an easier fashion more often where the majority could knowingly be tuned in? Are relationships or families stupid? Better to have a few bigger events like marriage or showers from time to time, while maintaining a more laid back lifestyle with constant minor events in between? Maybe nothing but one night stands on occasion would be better for everyone?

I can't disagree that a tweet about the Prez being mad and on the toilet would be unnecessary and not exactly what you want to know from him, but then again, the Prez has to deal with the same stupidity or unwarranted hatred thrown his way. I don't think it's fair to say the Prez is simply there to be a punching bag, and I doubt Trump thinks that's ok either, so if you want to poke the bear because he's threatening or endangering you, that's one thing, but when the bear is trying to sleep or minding his own business, you're asking for a reaction and very well may pay for it eventually.

I'd have to disagree somewhat. I'm quite sure if Trump only said positive things as often as he tweets now, he would still get a lot of crap thrown at him verbally. It may be slightly less crap, but that's still too much for most to handle, so as I've said before, if you're put into a no win situation, you might as well just do whatever you want, which is likely at least partially his reasoning for doing so. You could say he should just stop tweeting and then he or anyone else won't have to deal with it, but he will still, since the msm or his political opposition will completely have their way with him through their channels and he won't be able to get a timely message out to the people. Twitter is Trumps media weapon against the msm, and like many weapons, they're not always used just for battle.
