Forums - PC Discussion - Steam is finally getting a redesigned library—here's our first look and Steam is adding a new Events page for tracking what's going on in your games

Ugh. I like the current simple one.

Looks like they are trying too hard. The current one is perfect.

First of all good to have you back basil. Pc discussions are much more active when you're around. Valuable asset to the chartz!

Secondly, I know you might not like the redesign now but give it time and Judge it after you get used to it.

Problem I have is i've been dealing with the friends/chat interface redesign for quite some time.  It still sucks.

Looks alright, i'd have to see it in person for myself before I can really judge it so far. I have no issue with the current Steam one, but it's nice to see them updating it, it's been a long time coming.

Looks ok, i can really only tell when i actually get to use it. Good to see some form of update from Valve. At this stage ill take anything.

What they really need to do is create a steam workshop for themes, layouts, for standard and big picture modes. You can already create skins but they are very limited.

Glad to see Valve finally taking a fresh look at the client but I think the community, given the right tools, would do a better job IMHO. Besides this feels more like a hollow gesture meant to gin up user support in the face of the Epic store stealing away developers etc.

how can something that's supposed to be modern look so dated. Jesus, don't use this Valve.

I like it.

Must've taken that one web designer intern they hired years to finish it.
