Damn, making me feel small. I spent hours on that, we'll a good chunk of it being passive attempts but still, many deaths. Many tries.

Well that puts me at ease on how hard the Owl must be. You kept saying the Owl, and Demon of Hatred were utter BS. But I had Genchuro figured out after about ten or so fights. He always counters after your second attack or not at all. His last swipe on his big combo can always be dodged, and then countered for free damage. When you heal he shoots his bow at you, but you can dodge that and counter for free damage too. Keep slashing and keep him in a corner so he tries to use his bow and gets hit. Catch his thrust attack after he slams down, before the first deathblow. After first deathblow, jump after each slamdown and get ready for a sweep. After that all he really has is his triple shot bow attack, which can be deflected pretty easily.

His storm form is a pushover. Just keep countering the thrust, and get ready to leap at a second's notice to avoid the sweep, or lightning attacks. Storm form keeps trying to use the bow as well, and that's just more free damage.

A lot of passive fights while watching YouTube and Netflix, hard to say how much of my time it took and I never said The demon of hatred was hard, he is easy it is the terrain that is the part of the fight that caused me frustration. Also, it is the Owl in Hirrata and not the first Owl. Let me know how it goes with him, give us an update, where ya at now?

Best fight Genichiro? Hmm, he's a definite contender. I really enjoyed the Lady Butterfly fight given that it was the boss I spent the most time on probably (as I really wanted to beat her with two gourds, but oh well). It's hard to say; there were a couple bosses that took around that same amount of time.

Come to think of it, there really weren't all too many unique bosses, as you fight a few of them multiple times. As a character, I really liked the Guardian Ape, and how damn persistent he was about not dying.

My top 5 bosses are after reflection.

1. Genichiro.
2. Lady butterfly
3. Sword saint isshin
4. Guardian Ape.
5. The multiple fights with the purple shrouded mini bosses in various areas.

Hardest bosses that come to mind.

1. Owl (Father)
2. Emma, Ishhin Ashina
3. Great shinobi owl (had demon bell on)
4. Sword saint Isshin
5. Curropted monk (demon bell)
6. Genichiro
7. Guardian Ape.
8. Gauridan ape 2.0
9. Various purple shrouded mini bosses
10. Shinobi snake eyes in poison pool.

Hard to tell for the first Owl and corrupted monk as I had the demon bell on and didn't know about snap seeds for the corrupted monk. I might be missing some and I didn't add the true monk because I cheered him pretty darn heavily.

And I left out Tje dragon and fokding screen monkeies as they were more spectacle fight but the Dragon was cool, I enjoyed that very muc. Also, The demon of hatred because the terrain issues caused me more death than the boss ever did if it was a clear flat field.

Turns out Isshin Ashina is a bitch and a half (Not sure if I'm glitching or if he's hitbox porn for NPCs) because for some reason I just can't hit him. He does this dance move and it doesn't matter what I do my attacks go right through him! sucks, and I thought this fight would be easier.

Emma's pretty tough, too.

I got it all, baby!

He's a cunt no matter what you do, you can go for the hit, it will miss and then you have a brief while to do some sword on sword but this can make the fight take so long it is ridiculous. Like dragging it out for 15 minutes and get no where with his posture. So going for the hit, letting it miss and then getting away from him to bait his attacks is the best option so you can get around him and clip him for health. When he is at less than 50%, sword on sword becomes more feasible in his first phase but do not try for it in phase two, just go for a health kill and you'll only have to hit him once to fill his posture.
I'm assuming you haven't finished the game on the other path but if you have, you can use dragon flash to clip a good chunk of his health in phase two from afar and he can't block it. It really helps because that phase is so, so painful. It's all one hit kills no mistakes although I was on Ng+ so perhaps your experience will be different. He's my number 2 hardest boss because of the way you are forced to fight him which can heavily rely on RNG and draw out fights while he can easily one shot you at pretty much any moment with most of his attacks in phase two. Good luck and you will get a good line up of RNG eventually, just gotta keep trying.

Also, sword saint Ishinn is much harder in NG+ even when maxing out attack with 3+attack from the mask he is a posture sponge so if you were going for that path in NG+ it ain't going to work out well for your sanity.

One of the issues I have is using the PS4 controller. After playing this game for a good bit of time, I find the PS4 controller with how much you have to push in on the bumpers causes me to miss deflections more than I probably would if I was using the Xbox controller. I am really thinking about trading the game back in for the Xbox version.
