The Emma/Isshin fight is HARD and painfully slow.

Mortal Kombat XI and Days Gone are late April releases, and I'll likely be getting both of them. That is a few weeks away, however.

In the meantime, I would really like to finally finish Dragon Quest 11. It was last September that it released, and I haven't put the game down for more than a few weeks. It's one of my favorite JRPGs of all time. Extremely polished, well balanced, and charming.

Cuphead is releasing this month on Switch, and that has a similar "Soulslike" feeling of overcoming a difficult obstacle with it's challenging boss fights. I originally played this on PC, and local co-op is a pain on PC, so I look forward to the Switch release.

Do you have a Switch, John? I feel like I've asked you this before, but I don't remember. I feel like I remember seeing you post about BotW, but my memory is crap lol.

I want to buy a switch but they keep one feature I want locked away behind an online service I don't need or want to add to my already hard to manage list of service. That being the ability to back up your saves to an external storage device. I do not want to buy a switch and have all my progress gone if I loose it or break it, it would cause me to never take the thing anywhere and treat it like a glass trophy, defeating it's purpose. Hours and hours of progress In save data, would mean more to me if lost than the cost of the device. I just want them to let me hook the device up to one of my HDDs and back up the save and copy it to a USB stick or two for safety. It's a basic feature of modern consoles and one I can not be without.
It's a massive pity because I badly want to play Mario Oddessy, Octopath and a few others.
Yeah, that game looks quite good. I might have a look at Dragon quest 11 if Ass creed Greek addition continues to disappoint or it and the Sekerio Platinum fails to fill the void. I have so many games in my backlog but they suffer from "The taint" a disease all games get after a certain amount of time has past since I have played them or they have been offered too long. :D

Oh that good old massively difficult boss that you can get half way through the last phase and no further. I really must be fucked up or something cause this game must be some form of cutting and not the weight loss kind. All of this pain for that brief momentary ejaculation of gamer pride and accomplishment.

I will beat this boss and then I'll beat off to a photoshopped picture of Hidetaka Miyazaki being stung by a thousand bees.

You are a strange man.

I got it all, baby!

PS4, Switch, WiiU, XBO, PC
Vita, 3DS, Android

Top 3 this generation:
Bloodborne, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Dark Souls III

As little as I get to play this game, I have just beaten Genichiro. That there was satisfying. I feel like the fight taught me how to really play the game.

It's a brilliant fight, best fight in the game for me and probably the best of Soulsborne entirety in retrospect.

It was a very fun fight, though super difficult at first.  Still, took me about 15 tries or so before I got it.  Second form was always what destroyed me until I got the hang of using the mikiri on his jumping thrust attack.

Damn, making me feel small. I spent hours on that, we'll a good chunk of it being passive attempts but still, many deaths. Many tries.
