I'm at the valley right now, and I honestly think I shouldn't be going this way. There's a crazy mini-boss with a shotgun, and she's honestly the hardest boss I've fought so far. I just grappled around her, but the enemies are suddenly scaling so fast. All these Tusken Raider looking guys with guns, are brutal if they get a single shot off. Currently trying to sneak attack all of them. I'll come back to shotgun-lady later on. Her health is insane right now. I have 3 attack since I completed the Hirata Estate.

Yeah, Snake Eyes is one of the most brutal bosses in the game and a real pain until you get her moveset down.

If you run past het to mid way over the bridge, then sneak back up on her for a stealth DB. Hope that helps. Same with her twin in Poison pool, there is an idol at the other end of the pool so you can sneak around her back. They are still tough though, you just need to keep distance to avoid that horrible perilous.

Yep, I used that method to get past her already. Also I threw ash in her face, and shimmy'd along the mountain path to get past her. But then I noticed that grapple point. I'll come back to her later.

Bosses so far...

Lady Butterfly = Medium difficulty. Just dodge her like the game says, and counter. Toss shurikans if she does into air. It knocks her down and you get free hits.

Blazing Bull = Hard difficulty. Firecrackers only work on him 50% of the time. Or there seems to be a wait period before you can use them again. His health and stamina are pretty high.

Estate Drunkard = Medium difficulty. I baited him out with pottery shards, and then used the Leroy Jenkins character to gang up on him. Leroy died, but I'll save him on my second playthrough.

Horsey Guy at Gate = Easy difficulty. Just use firecrackers and grapple him for free hits. If you have air doubleslash he goes down fast.

Red Eyes Giant = Easy difficulty. He killed me about five times, but that's just because I was still getting used to the game. Just dodge his attacks and counter. Flame cannon arm attachment wrecks him. Just gotta make sure the spear guy doesn't join in on the battle or else you're probably screwed.

Snek = Easy but fun and frightening.

Snake Eyes Shotgun Lady = BS. Utter BS. She just does way too much damage right now. The area to fight her in is too small.

General Samurai guy in Ashina Outskirts and Ashina Castle = Easy. Just gotta block, counter, and jump over his sweep. Hardest part of fighting these guys was killing all his friends before you finally got to fight him.

Guardian Ape = Easy. Just use fire, and cut off his head. He dies after that. In fact I just beat him. Going back to the game and unpausing it right after this post!

spent a half dozen hours grinding out 15 skill points and 3 new Strength points....up to 19 Vitality, 15 strength...still didn't make a hint of a difference. Still dying after two or three hits that I can't seem to avoid/deflect/block/counter.

I know I CAN do it, honestly...but man I am so tired of not making progress or doing any better.

I feel like any boss can kill you in three hits in this game. Did you buy all the health pot upgrades? That's the first thing I did, because without good OJ you just instadie if you get hit while healing.

Im only at the blazing bull now and will play again next week, fun but not much room to make mistakes in this game and bossbattles leave me shaking :p

Edit: when being cornered against walls the camera tends to be my worst enemy.

Just going a bit off topic but at this point I figure Sekiro is most likely From Software´s last "Souls-like" game for this generation, what do you guys hope their next game in this style will be like?...would you like a "sci-fi Souls"?..something else entirely?

Personally, Dead Space and Dark Souls were my favorite new IPs last gen, and what I´d really, and I mean REALLY, want is a 'Souls-like' game set on a huge derelict and creepy spaceship, its interior all interconnected, the type of level design From excels at, and with a lot of the aesthetic inspired by HR Giger and the original Alien movie.

beat it. Still hate the end boss and I dread having to do it again.

Only took me an hour or so to get back to Genichiro, though

What I expect them to do is Bloodborne 2 in early 2020 but what I want them to do is a choice driven Lovecraftian game in the vane of the most recent failures like Call of Cathulu but and this being the majour differing aspect, from soft bringing their combat style and Rpg/class mechanics to gameify the whole experience past a certain point in the story as the pace ramps up. In my mind it would be more horror based than say Bloodborne, more true to Lovecrafts novels, set character focused maybe told through the lens of a narrator as in HPLs novels, less RPG and combat focused to begin with and finding a good balance between the two to continue with mid game. I would want FromSoft to keep their minimal narrative stylings but up some aspects such as cutscenes, NPC exposition and dialogue options. I would also like them to diverge from any specific Lovecraft story but have the basic themes.

I think with Deracine, they have proven to have this in them, there is a lot more I want to say on the matter but I'm in a rush. Might update later.

You think there´ll be a Bloodborne 2?...I really want it, but I remember a thread on Era about the Sekiro reveal at E3 last year and there was a verified insider who said that there were no plans for a BB sequel but didn´t rule out the possibility...that was June last year so who knows if things have changed or will change.
