Something is wrong with your connection.  99.99% of residential connections will be asymmetrical with the download being multiple times faster than the upload.

What speeds are you paying for?

Tbh, I don't know the internet package speeds. Its included in my rent, so I get what they buy. I constantly hear about how expensive it is, so I'd hope its a better plan.

All I know is that I got my cellphone service hella cheap through xfinity due to where I live having xfinity.

That sounds like your building manager is either lying or doesn't know what he's doing and got royally ripped off.  Density reduces costs.

I'm not actually in an apartment complex. I rent a room from a homeowner, who also lives here (the poor life). Me and the other renter are probably just paying the mortgage, lol. He probably got whatever Comcast special deal was. He switched from Fios to Xfinity not too long ago since Fios was gonna double the bill.

I could probably afford my own apartment pretty soon, but tripling my expenses makes not want too, lol.

Ah, the conundrum of going it solo.  More privacy, more bills.

So if your landlord is just a regular Xfinity subscriber and you're using his connection....it's still borked.  Either on the Comcast side or his switch that routes to you. It can't be expensive (compared to FIOS) and you get those speeds.

Try going to Xfinity web site and look at what the service package and costs are for your address.

Looks like its just my old laptop having issues. He tried his laptop got more download than upload. I tried my phone got 40 download and 11 upload.

Actually guys, scrap what I said earlier, lol. (Except the school part, it's still horrible there :/)

Though the connection is shared between 6 people here so when everybody hops in, then it gets quite low.

In the middle of nowhere I get.

Downloading a game right now at 1.4Mb/s!

And that costs me like $60/month.

That latency though........

Google needs more data centres.....

The speed is viable for a very good stream but the latency would suck for action.  Try a different speed test host.  It might be that data center or their connection just sucks.
