I would say:

  1. a Woman
  2. of color
  3. progressive
  4. young (by politician's standards, so below 60)

And should tick at least 3 of those boxes. Any suggestions?

Kamala Harris, Stacey Abrams, Symone Sanders

Symone Sanders is only 30 years old, that's too young. If Biden were to die, then she couldn't take office since the president needs to be at least 35 years old.

OK, so let's replace her with ... Tulsi Gabbard. Conspiracy theory: Biden has offered Tulsi VP, therefore she endorsed him.

So you want to kick the year of with a Yang?

I don't know if it was posted but Yang was on the Breakfast Club and basically said Biden promised him a position in his administration. He didn't endorse Biden for UBI like he said, he endorsed him to further his career in politics.

I think this thread still remains relevant until the day Bernie suspends his campaign.

Yang made a smart decision. He'll be able to implement some of hus policies if hes in the executive branch.

You do know that Yang coming out and publicly stating that means Biden did something illegal right?

What was illegal?

18 U.S. Code § 599. Promise of appointment by candidate.

"Whoever, being a candidate, directly or indirectly promises or pledges the appointment, or the use of his influence or support for the appointment of any person to any public or private position or employment, for the purpose of procuring support in his candidacy shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both; and if the violation was willful, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both."

So it's a gray area and really pertains to cabinet positions. Even then it's never really enforced because a candidate can just retort that they have a 1st Amendment right to announce whomever they choose.  The primary issue though is proving that Trump nominated someone to a cabinet position simply to procure their support.

Well tbh we don't know if Biden promised it could have been a "you'd be helpful in the executive branch", "i'd love to work with you more", "i can see us working together if im elected" type of thing.
