This is false for many years already, and Nate Silvers from 538 has extensively discussed about it if you want to check for yourself. In fact the last landline-only polls as a relevant source of data in the US date to 2008 - 2010 when they were recognizably dissonant from election results by the media, anyway.
Not to mention polls work with statistical samples to portray reality. Out of a population of 300,000,000 adults, the chances you are polled in an election cycle, if there's some 200,000 people interviewed between all of the polls, is about 0.0066%.
