Wow. I love it! It's really a rough uphill battle for Sanders with all these anti-Bernie pundits, smears, and mischaracterizations going around in the mainstream media. More so than a lot of the other democratic candidates, certainly more than Warren and Biden.

MSNBC has just been getting worse and worse...

Question:

Do you guys really mistrust "mainstream" media?

What part of what say, NYT, is supposed to be negative or false?

One of the reasons I despise Trump is his attacks on the free press. The effects of that will be felt for generations, and I'm shocked to see that it is not a thing exclusive to Trump supporters.

So... just look at the video I posted to see why lol

I personally have a problem with any video that just shows quick clips.  For one, you cannot get the full context of what is going on in those videos and it's easy to just take out pieces and parts to create a narrative. I know for a fact that some of the clips I have actually seen and the narrative they present is not representative of the video.  Even so, I will agree that most media are opinion pieces so you have to grab info from them and ignore the personal spin.

Mainstream sources in most cases are reliable but they are still very biased which leads to me not trusting them. An example woNuld be NYT publishing bu 10 /15 articles about positive Warren news and 5/15 about positive Bernie news then their bias shows.

I do not believe that the media is inherently bad. I myself check New York Times and CNN daily to get my political and regular news. Yet, I must agree that as a mainly Sanders supporter he receives an awful amount of negative press from pundits and journalists. You have to realize that these media outlets are some of the giant corporations Sanders wants to take on. I think it is a gaffe to yell "fake news", but journalism and news is such a powerful and strong job that it must be called out when errors are occurring.

Sanders is merely taking the brunt of this unprofessionalism because he threatens some of these basic practices that have become commonplace in America.

Trump gets 92% negative press coverage from the "free press".

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/jan/15/a-broadcast-tradition-90-of-trump-coverage-remains/

Only 7% of journalist identify as Republicans, as opposed to ca. 50% of the electorate.

6 media conglomerates control 90% of the "free press".

I like to believe I'm the biggest contrarian in this chat, but I'm also not delusional.
