Considering the Xbox's divisions marketshare and profit numbers in the console space, I don't know if the big heads at Microsoft would sanction that kind of buy.

Can you imagine GTA 6 a PS5 exclusive?....super mega huge system mover right there, but this rumor is extremely hard to believe.

If these companies want to bolster their Libraries, and dig in for the Streaming future, that is great news. If this would mean future titles from Take-Two, EA, and Ubisoft have a 1st Party level of polish, then we all win.

I have no problem subscribing to PS Now, Game Pass, and Google Stream. Ideally, at a minimum the streaming service would be available on all platforms, with native support on PC and each individual companies hardware. To me that would make owning the hardware, and subscribing to the services much more enticing.

I don't want to see a repeat of what we are seeing in tv streaming in game streaming. In tv streaming right now, I feel like I need to be subscribed to about 6 different services to watch every show I want to watch (Netflix, Hulu, Disney +, HBO Go, Amazon Prime, CBS All-Access), and now it looks like we're moving toward a future where I am going to need to subscribe to 3 different gaming services as well, possibly more if Amazon and Apple throw their hat in the ring (which is quite possible), plus buy a Nintendo system as well if they don't go the streaming route (which I doubt they will. I'm not the monopoly mascot, Uncle Pennybags, I can't afford all of these streaming services. 

I don't follow you on this. I am currently subscribed to PS Vue + HBO/Showtime, WWE Network, Netflix, and MLB.TV and I am paying less for all of them than I did with Comcast alone. Plus I can cancel and resubscribe any time with absolutely no hassle.

If I could subscribe to Sony, Microsoft, Google, Apple, and Amazon Gaming services at an average of $15 a month, that would only be $75 a month. So for a little more than the price of 1 game per month, and I would have access to everything that comes out. That would be a huge savings compared to what I pay currently. Then again, I would have the power to cancel at any time, only subscribing to each service as games I want to play come out.



Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Xbox is such a small division of Microsoft. I highly doubt it would bother him that much as long as the Xbox division can still bring profits. 

Microsoft invest in Xbox, but the money it would take to buy EA, I doubt they'd allow such a huge investment, especially as they already got quite a lot of money for the Minecraft purchase which I doubt they've seen a full return on yet.

This is not a drive through restaurant. EA has to agree to it, and they wont. Would make their services useless, on top of that, MS is gearing up to leave the console market anyway.

Ww are going The Neflix streaming road so Exclussives are the key to next gen. I dont belive in this rumor. Probobly its more about very close partnership (maybe even a merge between companies).
