I don't play my Switch as much as I'd like too because I have to prioritize my life at the moment. But, for me if you have tastes in a lot of genres it's hard to not enjoy the device. There will be dry spells, but 2019 is looking to be closer to 2017 in terms of software output. I don't play my PS4 much anymore because it doesn't fit my lifestyle anymore. But yeah if you like traditional fighting games PS4 is the better place to play due to its seniority.

Yeah , Nintendo Switch is a great console and I don't regret it. many people are enjoying It more than me like Shiken which I think was A Playstation owner only then bought a switch and enjoys both equally? I think it was Shiken or another user? but yeah, I'm just giving an update on what I'm doing I'm sure Switch will have more people like Shiken and lesser of People like me and Shikamaru and jason though I game more on PLaystation and both my Xbox One and Switch are not used. I hope I hope I play more on both Xbox and switch in future. :(

I barely play mine lately, either. Logged in about 10 hours of NSMB U, purchased War Groove and really expected to love it like I did Valkyria Chronicles 4, Advance Wars, or Final Fantasy Tactics. Instead, I've been playing Pikmin 3 on Wii U when I'm home and watching movies and YouTube videos when I'm bored at work.

Thinking back, a similar thing happened with my 3DS, Vita, and PSP. I just go through a phase where I'm carrying them around everywhere but never playing them. Then I get in the mood and the battery is totally dead or even worse, months pass and I NEVER feel like playing them again.

You have other consoles so it's not a big deal for you. I'm sure more games you like will come but for now you have other options.

I barely play my PS4 and haven’t really longed for it, especially since I have the Switch with me. The convenience of the Switch helps especially when the TV is being occupied. Things happen. Sometimes your interest wanes on a console. It can happen with any console for whatever reason.

I just spent the better part of the last month sitting at a bedside, my wife and children at home, with a whole lot of time just... waiting for the inevitable, I played my switch solidly for the first few days as myself and my siblings all took turns being at that beside and enduring the suffering. But, as I "caught up" with my backlog of Switch games, I found myself wishing that I had a new vita or at least more of the games that I really enjoyed coming back to, which as it turns out, isn't Nintendo games. Before long I just stopped bringing it to the hospital/hospice center every day and would just save the gaming until my brother and I got back to his place so we could fire up the PS4, and play the games we liked to play together, I am completely done with Splatoon 2, Mario Odyssey, Zelda, Kirby, Doom, Bayonetta, and Mario + Rabbids. I've never been a Smash or Pokemon fan, and I have no interest in picking up third party titles I've already played, and beaten months if not years ago on other platforms, and I just don't know what's left for me. My Switch is slowly but surely becoming nothing more than the neat thing that gets played at friend gatherings and little more. Sure, Mario Kart 8 and Mario Party are the same laughs they've been for 20 years (and to be honest not much has changed vs theier Wii counterparts). Mario Tennis Aces has shown that it's gameplay is increasingly grating as the key to success is mastering gimmicks rather than tennis itself. So here I am, looking at Zelda: Link's Awakening and Grid: Autosport and thinking "I guess so since there's really nothing else".

I used to bring my vita everywhere and never ran out of something to play for years and years. There was always something else to keep my going, or something compelling to keep me going back to. The more time goes on, the more confident I am that if Sony announced a new portable tomorrow with say, PS4 digital compatibility, my Switch would quickly go up on craigslist, and probably wouldn't be missed.

Side note: Pick up Super Mega Baseball 2 if you can. Super solid game, but, unsurprisingly, not available on Switch.

Just out of curiosity, what type of games on Vita were keeping you so busy for those years?

I play it quite a bit. A lot of Tetris 99 and played through Onimusha Warlords. Waiting for my LRG orders like Shantae and the Pirates Curse, Yooka-Laylee, Dust: An Elysian Tale and Celeste. Also looking forward to several games this summer and later in the year.

I play my PS4 quite a bit too. Played through Kingdom Hearts 3 and the great RE2. Looking forward to Sekiro and Days Gone and some games without a release date yet.

Barely ever touch my XB1. Looking forward to Battletoads, but that's pretty much it...

Right now, I'm playing more on my WiiU *gasp* than my Switch 'cuz it has Botw and Xeno X on it, but it doesn't mean much by the end since I'll go back to it by the end of march to play Yoshi's Crafted World.
And I'm not even talking about the backlog I've built up for when I'll buy a new3DS since my last one went to the scrap few months ago ...

To be honest, is there any point to this thread ?

Cool.

Predictions for global hardware sales by end of 2017: PS4 - 70M. Xbone - 33M. Switch - 7M.

To each their own. There really is no right, or wrong, opinion so long as you're respectful of the preferences of others. PS4 is a pretty awesome console, and I'm always zig-zagging back and forth between that and Switch.

Just an update of what I'm doing though I'm enjoying Playstation more than more main console Xbox One since I'm a Microsoft fan . There are things Microsoft should have. but Microsoft exclusives don't interest me including cuphead Though the only game I'm looking forward to Xbox is Battletoads though I'm looking at Nintendo exclusives more like Pokemon,Metroid prime 4, and Bayonetta 3 I just relized I'd game more on Switch than my main console of choice Xbox One by end of Xbox one Entire gen :(
