Where are the graphs and charts that show the comparison of Switch with Wii/PS2/DS launches aligned? That's the information I miss from these sales threads.

It's not really much of a comparison, considering those three systems were, along with the 360, far bigger than anything else they can be compared to. They're part of the "40 Million Club" in the U.S. (and the DS actually sold well over 50M, making it the best-selling system ever in the U.S.). But if you insist:

It's worth pointing out that the DS started off slowly, but just kept growing for the next several years after the DS Lite was released. It went from only about 2.6M in 2005 to a peak of over 11M in 2009. In the four-year span of 2007-2010, it sold over 38 million units, an average of 9.5M per year. Nothing has ever come close to that.

Now, it is possible that the Switch's sales could continue to grow from its current levels, or it could peak this year. We don't know. All we know is that Nintendo home consoles tend to peak early (though the Switch isn't strictly a home console or a handheld), and that they've all had poor legs later in life. The "40 Million Club" isn't impossibly out of reach for it, but I think a likely conservative estimate for final lifetime U.S. sales is probably closer to 35M.
