Wait, so a business cannot wait to see if another game sells first? Seems logical to me, if people were not interested in a prior product of mine, why would I sell them another?

They have already released a handful of old ports on Switch and they have said they are happy with sales.

Pretty much everything they have released on Switch has sold well or beyond their expectations so for them to wait and see how their 12th late port does before they release a current gen game is just nonsensical.

Does not matter the game, all Switch games sell well at my store.

Even games like Paw Patrol & How to Train Your Dragon?

Paw PAtrol has sold out multiple times since November.

Wow that is pretty crazy, I actually almost got it for my 3 & 5 year olds, they love that show.

Paw Patrol is a merchandise phenomenon.  I'm sure there are parents buying it.

For sure, like I said in my reply to him I was almost one of those parents lol but I was just curious if he meant "hardcore" games or was also including kid/casual/family titles as well.

What a dumb comment.

Does Itsuno even make business decisions at Capcom? Lmao. I assume he just develops the games.

I hate when companies put games hostage. So if another game that has nothing to do with the DMC series doesnt sell well than they wont release DMC?

How stupid. Just dont say anything at all Capcon. Id rather silence than some idiotic buisness strategy that only benefits your needs.

Make Dragons Dogma a success than you have DMC. No thanks.

This is the type of shit I was talking about in our debate in the other Capcom thread!

Its not even a definitive yes we will port it if DD sells, its we will only begin to maybe start thinking about it if this 7 year old port that's already released on 5 other platforms that belongs to a completely different franchise and genre sells well.

Like what kind of shit is that? They already have close to a dozen old ports on Switch that they have publically stated to have sold well or above expectations, why do they need a 12th test game?

Jeez, was not aware it was a super old game, chill peeps.

I want dmc on the switch so ill buy dragons dogma. Hopefully switch owners who wants dmc will buy dragons dogma. You will only have yourselves to blame if dragons dogma doesnt sell well and we dont get dmc5.

Eh, I figure if you want to play big third party AAA titles then you gotta have something other than a Switch to play them on. Either a PC, X1, or PS4. Otherwise you're just missing out on a ton of titles. The Switch is fantastic for Nintendo titles and kiddy stuff like the aforementioned Paw Patrol, but it's not a platform one should buy if you're hoping to play Capcom's or any other third party's (aside from Bethesda it seems) big budget titles on it.
