Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Capcom Says They Might Consider Porting Devil May Cry 5 to Switch if Dragon's Dogma Sells Well

Tagged games:

I've been playing it all day today and this is the best DMC I've played since Devil May Cry 1. Hopefully switch owners will get to play it at some point, but I wonder what it will look and perform like when they do port it. The game is butter smooth and beautiful.

Is Fatslob-:O trolling or is he serious? It is pretty clear the says if they buy Dragons Dogma, they may port DMC5 to Switch. Which is asinine when every game they've release for Switch has met or exceeded expectations. If port the game or don't. Stop with this test bullshit. They did this crap on Wii and never followed through, the user base finally wised up and stopped buying it.

It's Fatslob being Fatslob.

I don't post that often anymore. Thanks for the heads up man.

If only he was as rigorous in his scrutiny with BREXIT, but no. He is only rigorous when it suits his narrative. He never challenges his own perspective. He is only interested in giving the appearance of an individual who scrutinizes, but in truth he will only challenge perspectives he is contrarian to, often on arbitrary grounds.

Well, everyone, this is what is happening with this game: https://www.neogaf.com/threads/devil-may-cry-5-for-ps4-is-slightly-more-censored-than-on-xbox-one-and-pc-but-only-in-the-west.1473333/

You would think the booming install bases in their biggest territories would be enough incentive. Still, Dragon's Dogma is getting a physical release. At 13.2 GB, if it's all on the cart I'm in.

Yes, sure. Companies just look for excuses to avoid making profit, makes plenty of sense.

Interesting point. On the other hand, Chick Fil A said a lot of awful things about homosexual people and never backtracked. I mean, don't homosexual people spend money and bring in profit, too? Companies not wanting to cater to a certain demographic has always been a thing and as long as companies are comprised of humans, bias will rear the ugly head once in a while and counteract all logical thinking from people like you or me.

Yes there are some cuckos that would refuse to sell or attack customers based on biggotry. Not the norm, and even less likely on a case that this company have supported and put content on Nintendo systems for decades now.

At least they could come with some BS answer like Reggie did why RDR2 is not on the switch.

Well there have been a lot of people defending his point and that he was right.

Everyone, Capcom is run by monkeys: chimpanzees, specifically. They're very cute in their little suits, but their business decisions leave a lot to be desired. Two years into the Switch and Capcom has only published one new game (Mega Man 11), and the rest are ports. Tell us to buy ports of unrelated series/genres to get a game we may want.

What exactly is their big plan for the Japanese market? The West they'll do fine, but the way the wind is blowing, it's looking like PS5 won't be as successful as the Switch in Japan. Depends on what Sony has up their sleeve for next-gen, of course. Are they going to seriously ignore Nintendo forever, even with a new Monster Hunter, not a lazy 3DS port? It'd make the most sense to put it on both.

Reggie already explained it for us. This game started development before Switch announcement so it won't come to it. He can just copy and paste that reasoning for plenty of games.

And what is being Fatslob?

Screw you, Capcom. Keep crapping on one of your most loyal customer base...

Most loyal because of? And from what I remember DMC sold more on Playstation platforms.

If going by VGC posts Nintendo userbase is the one that bashes Capcom the most. Is that type of loyalty you are talking about?

From playing the game I'm surprised to find it's less demanding on hardware than REmake 2 was which is probably why Itsuno started talking about the possibility of a port, the areas in game aren't particularly large and they're linear so really it comes down to running the character interactions at 60fps.

Well if the game is 60fps stable on X1 then a port to Switch is very feasible.

Didn't Chick Fil A sell to homosexual people for years before making that statement? Your argument about logic would only work if there was no history of illogical business practices. Acting as though no one would ever undermine their own company's profit margins for a moral position or vendetta is outright ignorant. It is possible that the company is looking for an out; a reason to no longer make games on the platform. And they do not need a logical reason to do that. No company ever has needed a logical reason to do something like that. Suggesting otherwise and attempting to dismiss valid examples of such behavior is a symptom of confirmation bias. Not a good look.

More confirmation bias than looking for "hints" of hate from companies and conspiracy theories on they avoiding to make big profits?
