That's without a charger and it's not widely available either though (Only from Nintendo's official site).

An official widespread price cut/cheaper revision at retail would be needed to really have any impact on sales.

The pokemon direct effect can be seen on the switch this week.

So I guess the Switch boost is thanks to the Pokémon announcement (?), has a Direct ever had such a big effect in sales before?

PS4 is not settling at 20K. It has some bigger new releases and in reaction sales are up. They will godown again in slower weeks.

I have doubts the direct has a big impact on sales, if anything the general direct should have done more.
