Really any Paper Mario game, because I k ew it would be years before a new one came out. Particularly The Thousand Year Door. A perfect game ending means your time in it's perfection must end, at least until you play it again. That game ending felt like when I read the last Harty Potter book; amazing but I was filled with sadness.

Didn't think you actually play games Talon. Thought collecting and coding is all you do. ;P

For me that game was Gothic 3. An insanely big singleplayer RPG that was my escape in my teenage years. I spent hundreds of hours in it completing every quest, collecting all special weapons and armor. Hunting as much wildlife and plants as I could find and at some point there was just nothing left to do but to end the story.

That game left a void that no other game has managed to fill and is also one of my drives to work in game development so I can make this game myself.

Great choice, it is really sad that we don't see games like Gothic 3 nowadays anymore.

Mariokart & Animal Crossing. I know you cannot technically finish these games, but-

After I play all the tracks in Mariokart I always want more. Although I have to say Mario Kart 8 is amazing (my favourite Mariokart) because of how many tracks & diverse they are. Plus with the never-ending online matches it has the best replay-ability (along-side Smash Bros & Splatoon 2) which is super addictive. So I don't mind completing Mariokart 8, its just all the other previous Mariokart games that always made me feel like I wanted more after I completed them.

Also, when you pay off your debt to Tom Nook the Yakuza and get the largest house I feel like a multimillionaire that has it all and I cannot work towards anything anymore.

Fixed.

Lol XD. I've just had a vision of the Yakuza moving into the village in Animal Crossing, just casually hanging out with the animal villagers and dealing fruit around the corner of Nook 'n' Crannies. Then Crazy Redd cons them with a fake painting so the Yakuza goes round to his secret hideout and burns the place down XD. They then assassinate Shampoodle, leaving her nailed to a wall for changing one of their gang members' hair pink and refusing to make it right for 24 hours XD.

Most recently, Celeste.

It was a very fulfilling and rewarding game, and despite feeling extremely accomplished that I finished it, I was a little sad I had finally cleared every peak.

Did you do all the B and C sides too? And the strawberries? And the golden strawberries? This game has awesome end-game content!

I did B and C, as well as the regular strawberries.

Did the C-side golden strawberries, but the rest proved too elusive.

In no particular order

Mass Effect 3
Telltale Walking Dead Season 1
Bioshock Infinite
Persona 5
Persona 4 Golden

Well the last game I finished in full was probably Zelda OOT lol. So I will go with that.

Since then I just collect them lol and casually play a few levels.

The other day found a sealed box it had COD BO III and the hover craft lol. Forgot I bought it lol.

I purchased the Collector Edition of this from LRG a few weeks ago, but as per usual with these guys, it hasn't shipped yet (and probably won't ship for another SIX FREAKIN' MONTHS!!). Regardless, I likely won't open it once it gets here, anyway - so this becomes a familiar situation for me: Is this game good enough to warrant a double-dip by me, and force a download purchase in order to play?

So - is it???

If you're into 2D Platformers, it's one of my all-time favorites. Masterclass from start to finish. A very well done difficulty curve and absolutely rewarding.

It also has a low-key, but pretty pleasant story. If you like it, even better, if you don't, it doesn't take away from the god-tier platforming.

I stopped playing the game near the end, so it's good to hear that there's a good amount of stuff to keep you busy once you beat the game. I think what really makes this game satisfying is how little downtime there is. You can attempt something a dozen times in a minute and it doesn't feel all that frustrating because you're never spending your time waiting.

It's very similar to a game called "The End is Nigh" from Team Meat in that regard. Brutal difficulty, but satisfaction that makes it entirely worth it.

Well, I was a bit disappointed to see Kid Icarus:Uprising ending after 9 levels.

Spoiler!
To my surprise these end credits were just interrupted for a lot more pretty great levels.

Katamari Damacy was a bit on the short side, although admittedly this last level to make the moon is just outright awesomeness and the end credits are fun too.

With Zelda:BOTW I kept avoiding going to Ganon, because I didn't wanted the game to end.

Monkey Island 2, because it was a great game, but I hated this ending.

...and I just wanted to quote you, because I like that you've used the new "spoiler" feature! Ha! Ha!!!

Actually - that's not the only reason. I should also point out that I too, LOVE the Monkey Island series! Anybody that has played and can appreciate that series, is tops in my book!!!

Hehehe, I remembered that there is a new spoiler-feature and thought this was ideal as some may not know that.

And the first two Monkey Islands (as other LucasArts adventures like Day of the Tentacle and Indiana Jones) are among the greatest games of all time and should be held in high regard!
