Maker 2. I am over 2D Mario. Unless it is Maker 2. But what would they do? I think they would move to 3d. In that case I want Zelda Maker.

Depends. If's a New Super Mario Bros. game, I'd take Mario Maker.
If it's a genuinely new and ambitious 2D Mario game, 2D Mario.

Mario Maker 2 is the better and smarter route. 2D Mario games by themselves have felt lifeless and lacking creativity. Plus with the port of NSMB U to Switch, there's really no need for another one at all While Mario Maker 2 is 2D Mario still, its a continued fresh take that lets us keep being creative with the game and improving on it. Some of the levels on the Wii U version were insane and better than official ones made by Nintendo themselves.

Can you point to some examples? I’m genuinely interested in playing some fun user-created levels, but most of the content I found in Super Mario Maker was gratuitously difficult and/or gimmicky.
