I don't see why not. Nintendo already published Bayonetta 1 and 2 on Wii U, with the third one coming for Switch.

How did Nintendo price those Bayonetta ports? Was it similar to how the Resident Evil Collection put out by Capcom will be priced, with similar method of only one game on cartridge with the other being a digital download code?

And a Switch tax? You bet it was!

I like how they say in the video that fans consider 0 and 4 some of the best in the series. Who the hell thinks 0 is one of the best?!

*Raises hand*

😥

Love how people complains against Capcom when Nintendo (the hardware maker) gives approval for the price on the games.

All while everybody will happily spend $60 on link's awakening and pokemon lets go.

Cause those are new games that required actual work to make while this is just a port of a port.

And those ports are much cheaper elsewhere.

A physical version of a Switch will drive up the price though. Nintendo demand price parity of retail/digital versions of the same game (hence the "Special Edition" being so common as the only retail version), and their physical games cost much more to manufacture.

I don't think so. A dart would at least land on a good business decision every now and then, so that's out of the question.

Have you had a look at Capcom's profits lately? They have made plenty of good business decisions. Monster Hunter World was a global sensation and Resident Evil 2 Remake had very good sales as well.

Yeah, we were joking around. They obviously have some business sense or else they wouldn't be around.

Remaster-port of old games is a scam. This is why my main platform of gaming is PC: buy a game only once, and 20 years later you can still play it better due to rig upgrade and mods. Consoles only for 1st party exclusives.

Why blame Capcom? Blame Nintendo who keeps releasing old ports, remasters, and other indie level titles for $60. After that blame the fans who keep buying those overpriced releases. Anyone looking like Capcom thinks Nintendo player base is used to and likes paying more for less.

Hold up ... Link's Awakening doesn't even have a placeholder price yet. Let alone an official price. I would have expected it to have the former given how much they've shown already ...

Yeah, this Link's Awakening argument is a little premature.

Thank you. I wanted to say exactly this.

Capcom makes it hard for me to actually get their games. I want to buy and play them, they make good games.

I don’t even care about the pricing, but then there’s all this digital only, half-download, only physical in a collection, region specific retail release crap.

I mean jeez just release the d*mn games normally!

Capcom's actual devs are fantastic. It's their executives who are fools. Every good decision they've made has been either getting out of the devs way (Monster Hunter) or accident (Resident Evil 2). The only reason they greenlit Resident Evil 2 Remake is because the HD re-release of REmake sold over a million copies. The two games aren't even in the same GENRE, so what sense does that make?
