Switch back down to Earth this week

Around the Network

Splatoon 2 down to the 15th slot and trying to limp its way the 3m mark. Interesting how the legs have really dwindled on this impressive game. Mario Odyssey down at the 20th slot, just hovering in and out of the top 20 depending on how many new releases come in each week...another might game that seems to have fallen a bit.

On the flip side, Zelda still has extremely strong legs, will be interesting to see if Link's Awakening affects that or not. Smash Bros is still going strong and set to surpass Splatoon 2 sometime this year as the best selling title on the charts, as long as its legs continue like this. NSMB U is now the Mario game to get. It didn't get a huge surge and launch, but has really strong legs and seems to have cut off the legs of Odyssey.

Girls and Panzer looks like an interesting game...might have to import that to see if it is any fun.

A 12k drop for Switch but still miles ahead of the competition. Nice launch for Anthem considering the negativity around the game.

It has no competition in Japan let's be honest. Biggest threat is mobile gaming and that dwarfs everything in Japan including switch

Those PS4 sales... really need a pricecut to boost.

Mobile gaming dwarfs everything, everywhere not just Japan

Don't get me wrong Anthem did very strong, but I expected a little bit more from it after seeing the crazy COMG performance.

KH3 is holding decently.

The bad word of mouth and reviews likely hurt big time.

BOTW legs are one of the most impressive in recent memory. Who would have thought a Zelda title could pull that off in Japan?

And PS4 sales are sad and dissapointing. Barely anyone expected these harsh drops so soon.

tag:"reviews only matter for the real hardcore gamer"

Despite 13k less sold units compared to last week for Switch, 53k is still very good number without any notable release recently, Switch this week sold around 15k more than it did in same week of last year. from start of year Switch is 205k up YoY.

Also, difference between PS4 and Switch is currently only around 400k.
