So, to summarize the details:

-Microsoft would potentially release Game Pass on Switch through their upcoming xCloud streaming service.
-Microsoft might publish some of their first party titles that make sense like Ori and the Blind Forest on Switch via ports.
-Announcement could come as soon as this year
-No details yet on rather Nintendo might return the favor by releasing some of their games on Xbox, though considering other recent rumors of a big Microsoft-Nintendo partnership next-gen, it is a possibility.

I really don't want Nintendo releasing their games on Xbox. Microsoft already turned Banjo-Kazooie into an empty vehicle building game, who's to say they won't turn Mario into the next Gears of War?

One is a MS IP, the other isn't. They wont be turning Mario into anything

Whit all due respect... imho, gamepass and xcloud on switch will be almost irrelevant and of little to no impact, why you ask? Cause people buy nintendo hardware to play Nintendo games, not for streaming xbox games!!

And things like Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, etc. as "Ninty and Xbox exclusives"... not happening, ninty gains nothing whit this, in fact they will probably lose big time since this would reduce the value of "owning Nintendo haedware for Nintendo games". Ninty created a solid mensage for years, that "Nintendo games and hardware work together to deliver Nintendo vision", they are not going to throw this at the "windows"( terrible pun).

About MS porting some games to switch... that is something that can work, but only in high quality titles tha "feel like Nintendo game", like Ori.

Prediction: In 5 years Nintendo will Lauch a "Core Mario game"  very similar to Astro Bot. That said, many will Ignore Astro Bot existence and say Nintendo created this concept.

people are delusional if they think Nintendo are going to release their shit on MS next console.what MS get out of this is having a much higher install base for gamepass. nintendo don't need to give them anything other than that

Yes, I agree with this.

Though I think we could see something along the lines of Master Chief or some other Microsoft character in Smash, to promote their next game. But apart from that, nothing much else.

It's win-win for both sides. Ori and the Blind Forest and Cuphead are the type of games to sell very well on Switch.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

As long as my sub on xbox transfers to my switch im down.

Pretty sure it will if it requires you to own Xbox Live in the first place.

I think you will need to pay for Nintendo online service to make the Xbox App work. Add an extra $20 a years to play on Switch.

That's cute or whatever, as long as no Nintendo IPs ever end up on an Xbox console.

Where is the problem though? More people would have the chance to enjoy Nintendo games.

More like if anything they could go full third-party for Nintendo only

And PC.

Though if MS continues in this road, I can see them publishing their titles on PS in 5 to 10 years.

Agreed.  Not only would their games make more money there, as their audiences are more similar and want more powerful HW, but it will also be too big of an install base to pass up.

Microsoft and Nintendo sitting in the tree K-i-s-s-i-n-g!
First comes love. Then comes marriage.
Then comes baby in the baby carriage,
Sucking his thumb, Wetting his pants, Doing the hula, hula dance!

The tighter grip Nintendo has on their IPs, the better.

This is not about selling games. In a lot of ways this is nothing to do with video games period.

This is about the CLOUD and who is going to control it ... Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, or Google. This is bigger than video games, Microsoft doesn't give a shit (at the top end of the company) about console wars. They do care a lot about the cloud.

The problem with GamerPass on PS4 for Sony is it undermines the old, traditional business model of consoles that Sony is reliant on. That's why they can't allow things like GamerPass or even EA Access.

But if gaming goes streaming centric, Sony is in trouble. It's gonna be one of the big boys (MS, Apple, Amazon, or Google) that likely controls it.

Nintendo isn't a charity or here to make people's lives better. They are a video game company that has a business model that works for them.

If they were merely interested in just giving their games away to everyone, they'd have closed up shop after the Wii U and never make the Switch.

Except they made the Switch and now have a massive success out of it. Their business model works for them.

Microsoft's business model is different, they want to control the cloud, and have like 10 other divisions, something Nintendo has no aspiration to do.
