Forums - Sales Discussion - PS4/XBO/NS - 2018 vs. 2019 - Week 52 Numbers Added; Final 2019 Totals

There were far more adjustments than back. All the way back to Week 6, but they have been made and I edited the Switch's calculations accordingly.

I really appreciate those who put their time into doing these charts.

Damn good work. These charts should be part of the official VGChartz features.

Just posted Week 47 numbers. It's the week before Black Friday this year. Last year, Black Friday was this week, which is why everything is so drastically down across the board.

End of November and December are gonna be really hard for the Switch to keep up with last year's figures

I don't see weeks 47-48 2019 being flat with weeks 47-48 2018.
I think it's going to be 200k/250k short.
And week 49 is going to do some dammage too. It was like a second blackfriday last year.
By week 52 i think switch lead YOY will be between 2.5 and 2.75 milions only.

But I might be wrong if Switch Lite sales go through the roof, which is not what I expect.

Week 48 numbers have rolled in. Which means we've got Black Friday data!
As of now, the Nintendo Switch had it's best selling week of its entire life cycle with sales over 1.6 million units this week.
The PS4 managed to reach sales just above 1.1 million units and the Xbox One is just above 900k.

Switch could get a 20m year.

Just posted Week 49 numbers + adjustments for all three systems.
Black Friday week was adjusted up for all 3, especially the Switch. The Switch's Black Friday was the biggest week in sales for a system since the DS (1,830,678) and Wii (1,823,190) on the week ending December 26, 2009.

If I am reading this HW chart right, the adjustments pushed the Switch up to the highest Global November of all time.  Ahead of DS 2009 (>3.9M vs >4.0M).

Sign of things to come for Dec and 2020.

If the switch hits 20 million this year, that will be insane.
