Forums - General Discussion - Anyone know how to contact YouTube

Long story short, I use my channel to stream live events (all original content). Yesterday I got a copyright content strike for an even I setup (which didn't even begin streaming yet)  from a company called Aiplex Software Private Limited. When you search them up it appears a lot of people get these from them for no valid reason.

WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY?

I have streamed over 3000 videos to YouTube and then some random company based on a word in title of the streaming event can block you before you go live without even verifying what the content will be.

Now you can dispute it but that takes a minimum of 10 days, which is not good as I use t to stream daily.  Even if you wait the 10 days they may not even respond and the strike will stand for 3 months until it clears then the service will be re-enabled.

Are there any content creators who can help get in touch with someone at YouTube? as clearly the small guy isn't worthy of email services lol.

Apparently you need to raise a stink on Twitter.

All you can do is go through the automated process which takes weeks if not a month. Why do you think live-streaming on Twitch is so much more popular?

You could try contacting some of the bigger youtubers for a signal boost on twitter.
Some people have been very vocal in their coverage of these strikes. If you think it was an unjustified strike, it might be worth a try.

Youtube, along with a lot of other tech companies, make it almost impossible for you to contact them directly. It's like trying to squeeze blood from a turnip or get product support from Valve.

One of the most ridiculously frustrating moments of my life was when Google STUPIDLY merged their services with Youtube and I could not use or access my Youtube account. Trying to fix that was so freaking annoying because there was no real help anywhere to be found. I think that was probably my record for cuss words in a day. It still makes my blood boil. Whomever is responsible for that mess is a freaking idiot.

However, I will say that Youtube once did right by me, when they ignored the claim of a goofy "loot crate" company that demanded I turn over my account name to them because it was the same name as their company ... despite the fact that my account was created before their company even existed.

From what I understand, even if you bring this up with a real human at YouTube, they are probably not going to undo that strike for you. The best thing to do right now would be to follow the appeals process and set up a twitch account for the time being. You can also bring your concerns with Team YouTube on Twitter, but they are going to probably tell you to appeal. Make a video about your experience after, probably will get a lot of clicks.

I did setup a twitch to see how it rolls. The good thing with YouTube is you can stream multiple people to multiple events at the same time on one channel, which is handy when you got multiple people doing stuff for different audiences and keeping it central.

From what I can tell with twitch, you can only have one stream at a time. Also the videos stay up for 14 days, and YouTube they stay up forever.
