I was listening to this and it got me thinking that there's a distinctive lack of stuff like this anymore. If someone goes progressive, they tend to all sound the same (like djent etc). Like this has simple yet effective chord changes and the overall sense of melody is fantastic.

I've never heard of this band but they kinda remind me of Tool. One definitely have to be in the right mode to really enjoy this song.
