Few things I've picked up on from the trailer in regards to how Hornet plays:

- Where the Knight had soul to cast his spells Hornet seems to also use silk which is fitting as she is half arachnid.
- The silk meter is below the soul and health masks and seems to be used for all special moves.
- Taking a guess here but it looks like she doesn't have access to soul magic like the Knight.
- This is due to the special moves shown are more combat specific instead it looks like she uses the new tools feature to make up for this.
- Tools seem to work like charms and are equipped at a benches just like them don't know yet if charms are fully replaced but it's likely.
- Where charms were indirect abilities tools are more direct as they or at least the ones shown have to be activated by the player, anyone who has played around with charms in the original will tell how it was a pain that some charms couldn't be activated manually.

Now i want to know whether the inevitable retail Switch version will include this or not.

Silksong is a new game and not additional content for Hollow Knight so if Hollow Knight gets a retail version Silksong will not be included.
