Forza is a really small audience, the game sells like 1 millionish each year doesnt it? Everyone expects it to get 9/10 every year, it's no surprise I have personally never played it and dont think i will enjoy it.

Any way, 1 AAA game compared to Sony and Nintendo? That's not even competition, it is massacre.

It sells way more then that it surpassed 5 million players a while back already.  None of Nintendo's first party games really appeal to me and Sony's first party games really aren't that great either plus I like achievements better then trophies.

why do Microsoft and its fans cant just speak out the sales numbers... it is like they are embarrassed to be last place and use monthly average user, user engagment numbers, and what now, concurrent number of players? Just man up and tell us how much's been sold lol.

It sold over 4 million copies already and since Forza Motorsports 8 will not be released until next year it will easily sell over 6 million copies by the time its done selling.

I never really considered Crackdown AAA. Not this gen or last gen. However, it actually looks better than I expected. Makes better use of UE4 than most games as well.

I just wanted another Crackdown and some good Gamepass content, I think they delivered. This game is as important to Xbox as Last Guardian was to PS4. Its notable content at best, it was never teh kill3r @pp.

The AAA game MS has for this year is Gears 5. Hopefully there isnt a delay.

Eh except Sony actually delivered on TLG unlike MS with C3. Big difference.

Regarding G5 at this stage they might as well just delay it and make it a cross gen launch title to try and push the next xbox. They need all the help they can get competing with the ps5.

Lol was just reading this and then saw your comment

We only wish the two in-game announcers had been as quiet, but unfortunately, particularly in the opening hours, they just will not shut up. This is despite the game’s premise being almost instantly understandable to anyone who’s ever played an open world game before, particularly one using the Ubisoft formula. But then the game’s storytelling tone is odd throughout. The premise and dialogue is straight out of a bad kid’s cartoon, except when it’s suddenly not and you can sense the voiceover actors wincing in embarrassment as they’re forced to pepper the script with wholly inappropriate f-bombs.

I was looking for how the multiplayer wrecking zone turned out, never mind.

For fun this is from 2015

Well you nipped that in the bud!

Gears 5 will release this year.  Forza Motorsports 8 the next Halo game and the other game being developed by Playground Games will more then likely be cross generation launch titles.

Going by the vids I have seen, not surprised. The promise for Cloud computing in multiplayer definitely wasn't kept, either.

On a personal note, this is really why I wouldn't be interested in switching to Xbox next gen, even with all of the recent acquisitions MS made recently. They have some good talent, but it doesn't seem like the management is up to par with Sony and Nintendo on overseeing quality output. Promising games are cancelled, while the ones that have released recently have been underwhelming. It seems the only thing they have going for them, that seems to be consistent high quality, going into next gen is their Forza releases.

To be fair, the current Microsoft management was dealt a terrible hand this gen.  The previous management had shuttered most of the studios or driven off all the talent from the studios leaving them as shells of their former selves.

I think the current management has done an ok job (not great) at limiting the damage that was done.  I do think they are setting themselves up pretty well for the next gen... but time will tell.  Xbox certainly seemed to take a step back from the 360 years this gen... but it looks like they may be poised for another step forward...

Its been like 5 years since the wait and see approach has been taken by xbox fans and so far theres nothing to show for it. I think after 5 years is safe to sat that the new management under phil spencer is just as bad regarding games as under don mattrick. Its been nothing but services and features since phil took over. A new gen is about to begging and wait and see is still all xbox fans got. Theres no doubt in my mind that MS cares nothing about the quality of their games and gamepass attest to that. I dont think they even care about making games anymore, but they need something to sell their gamepass.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

What do you mean delivered? They're both competed. I feel Crackdown 3 is gonna have a following regardless how the critics feel about it, because I assume Crackdown 1 fans will enjoy it. Being on Gamepass also means many will give it a try. But my primary point is neither game is crucial for their platforms.

They already have content for next Xbox release and I'm sure content like Gears 5 will boast upgrades for the new hardware. In a few years though there will be a Gears 6.

Halo 5 at launch was xbox one exclusive right? It didn't exactly shift a ton of consoles. If the next one is one xbox one, xbox x, next xbox and pc I can't see it shifting many next gen xboxs at all.

so your saying that forza games are selling less and less with each iteration? Makes sense. yearly releases make series fatigue so much quicker. Most likely the first one on next gen will sell well, then drop as the gen goes. seen one seen them all when there is literally no change yearly as are most simulation games.

Forza Horizon 4 is on pace to sell more then the third one did also there will be no new Forza game this year so you are wrong on both points.

Uhhh.... what? This year’s forza (likely the the forza of the gen) has surpassed last year’s iteration (motorsport 7) and is on track to surpass forza 5.

Are you just here to shitpost? The Horizon series is more arcade based and brings a lot of changes with each iteration.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.
