I was actually disappointed because I thought it COULD be a Monolithsoft game.

I am one of the few people who just can't get into Platinum Games stuff. I always find myself a little bored after 5 minutes of mashing buttons in really random feeling ways, not my style of game.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Damn...nicknames don't get much better than that

Agreed on the action-RPG comment. Part of what is selling me on the game were those urban free-roam sections we caught a glimpse of. I hope this isn't "run through the city to hit the next encounter" a la Transformers Devastation. I hope you can actually take your time, explore, shop, and take on quests from NPCs.

I'll never look at a USB stick the same way again.

Yeah, those were the scenes that made me hope that it's more of a world you live in, rather than one you just pass through.

The buildings look rather detailed, which somehow makes me feel like you won't be able to scale the buildings freely.
In Nier, the buildings you could scale were fairly simplistic, which probably helps the system render it all at once when you're moving quickly from building to building.

Of course, there were many locations with more unique and intricate designs as well.

But in those you were generally more restricted in where you could go and what you could see.
But as long as there are some landmarks that you pass by or through often enough during missions, it will associate particular events and people with those areas.

The game looks cool enough as it is with just the gameplay, but if it had something like Nier's world building on top of that, it'll be even more interesting.

Like others i thought this was a monolith game, but PT is always good. I will be picking this one up.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

Seeing this game makes me hope even more that Nintendo is the one thats funding Kamiya's current game. Can you image if Nintendo is about to get 3 exclusive games for Switch from Platinum. That'd be so amazing!

Kamiya's game isn't Bayonetta 3?

My favorite announcement since the initial batch of games were shown for Switch. Will be a day 1 buy.

I would assume not, but I can't find anything online about it. Imo the guy who did bayo 2 is probably also directing bayo 3. But i could be wrong.

Looks incredible, I'm genuinely surprised it hasn't created even more buzz around here.

For some reason I thought he directed 2 as well Guess you're probably right then

I would say this is my most anticipated new announcement, but there was the RF5 announcement
